Adsense publishers from the Philippines can now pick their adsense earning up through the Western Union Quick Cash. Most of the Philippine-based bloggers consider this as the safest way of collecting adsense earning because they will directly receive the money via the Western Union.
Well, that’s the safest way if no one will rob you as you exit the Western Union office.
But did you know that even if all Filipino bloggers take advantage of this new way of receiving the adsense earning, I still choose to receive my earning through the Check- Standard Delivery?
To let you know, I am currently earning from adsense of more or less $1,000. And this amount will really temp our friends in the post office to steal the check and deposit it to their own bank account.
Is it possible that someone will deposit your check to their own bank account?
Actually, there is no impossible to those who are eager and interested. Depositing your check by thieves to their own bank account is really possible, and our friends from the post office can really do that.
How?
Let’s say, your adsense check of $500 has been stolen by a postal man in the Philippines. This postal man will make a postal ID using your full name and other information but the photo attached into this ID is his own photo. Then he will produce another fake ID, because most of the banks require those who will open bank account with 2 valid IDs. With these 2 fake ID of yours, they will now open a bank account. Then after a week or two, they will deposit your check into that account. If you are not so vigilant, after a month you will realize that your adsense check is already encashed by someone.
How to prevent a thief from encashing your adsense check?
Google really know about these thieves. That’s the reason why they allow us to request the reissuance of check.
If you choose to receive your adsense check via the Secured Express Delivery, you need to wait for the check to arrive into your mailbox until the 5th day of the month. If you do not receive it by the 5th day of the month, so yo can request for the reissue of the check by contacting Google here.
If you are receiving the check via the Standard Delivery, you need to wait for the check to arrive into your mailbox until the 25th day of the month. And if you do not receive the check by the 25th day, you can now request for the reissue of the check by contacting Google here.
Now, remember that the adsense check that has been deposited to a bank account here in the Philippines will be encashed after the 23 to 31 clearing days (that is if you choose to receive your adsense earning in dollar). In other words, thieves can’t immediately collect the equivalent cash of the check. If they successfully deposited the stolen check on the 15th day of the month, then they are expecting to receive the equivalent cash of the check on the 13th to the 21st day of the next month.
But if on the 26th day of that month, you immediately requested the reissue of the check, and Google immediately received your request, then they will immediately cancel the collection request of the stolen check, thus preventing the thieves to successfully collect the equivalent cash of the check.
Does this really works? Well, based on my experience, this way of preventing thieves from encashing your check is really effective.
Standard Delivery Option
Now, since you can really prevent the thieves from encashing your check even if they successfully stolen it and deposited it into a bank account, then choosing to receive the adsense check via the standard delivery is still safe. And not only safe, it is also the most convenient and charge-free option.
Take note that Google do not charge you if you choose to receive the check via the standard delivery. However, if you will choose to receive the check via the Secured Delivery, Google will charged you with $24, plus the check collection charge imposed by the banks of $3, so you will spend $27. And if you choose to receive your adsense earning via the Western Union Quick Cash, you will spend more or less $70 (considering that my adsense earning is $1,000).
And $27 or $70 is already a big money compared to the $3 that you will spend for the collection charge. So, why not spend that amount if you can actually avoid it?
Update:
marhgil made it clear that the Google Adsense payout via the Western Union Quick Cash is currently free of charge. Let’s take advantage of it while it’s free.
