Last, October 15, 2007, Jason of Ploghost.Com called me up and informed me that my site was eating up the server’s resources.

Well, I figured it already since the first day of October when my blog started to receive more or less 4,000 visitors per day. And every time I open a page of this blog, the Database Connection Error show up on the screen, which means, the webhost system automatically disconnect some users from connecting the database. Take a look at the traffic graph of my blog below:

This is the graph of the blog’s traffic from Tuesday, October 9, 2007 to Monday, October 15, 2007. On Sunday, October 14, 2007, our blog received more or less 5, 000 unique hits or more or less 9,000 pageviews.

Traffic Surge Due To Exam Results 

I know, some of you are wondering what are the things that I did on this blog that lead to the increase of my blog’s daily traffic.

Actually, I haven’t applied any trick on this. What I did is just wrote a post about the Licensure Examination for Teachers 2007. I published this post last August 29, 2007 and then published a followup post (Looking for Updates on Licensure Examination Results?) on September 21, 2007.

Now if you’ll look at the hits of these posts, my post, “Licensure Examination for Teachers Result 2007″ got 153,896 hits (as of writing this post), and the “Looking for Updates on Licensure Examination Results?” received 50,401 hits (as of writing this post).

Feed Subscribers Increase

These 2 posts bring not only more visitors into this blog but feed subscribers too. These posts are actually the main reason why our blog got 2,223 subscribers as of writing this post. Consider looking at the graph below that shows how our feed subscribers’ number has increased:

And maybe by the end of October 2007, we’ll hit the mark of 3,000 feed subscribers.
