What’s with the Google PR Update?
The recent update of Google PR made us think that Google PR is now useless.
Lot of popular blogs that recently have higher PR were penalized by Google by making their PR lower. The blog of John Chow, Yuga, and tons of Pinoy Blogs based on ratified’s database experienced this. And what else? Andy Beard enumerated some like:

You know what’s the good thing from this latest update of Google PR? We’re lucky enough that our blog’s PR has not changed. Our blog still has the PR of 4, which means, we can still earn money through the third party services that utilize the PR system of Google.
If you want to check your PR, please check it here.
Can this be a problem?
Yuga has answered several questions regarding Google PR like:
- Google PR matters if you are selling links but i’s not if you don’t sell links.
- If large part of your income is coming from selling links, then the drop of your PR really affects your income.
- Low PR doesn’t always means low traffic because tons of low PR sites and blogs receive large amount of traffic.
But wait, why did you say that Google’s PR now is useless?
Well, everybody is now starting to forget this Google PR thing. Some even think that Google is now having problem with their algo on giving PR to sites and blogs. And some even suggests to find new standard of ranking our sites and blogs.
