Find Job a Sebastian Lützig’s Way

Google-Blogoscoped posted a story of a man who wants to work at Google but applied a job in a very different way.

Instead of writing a normal job application, he decided to register tons of Google-related URLs – like adwordsgoogle.de, docsgoogle.de, gdrivegoogle.com, labsgoogle.de and more – and posted his application on it.

In his application, available in several languages, Sebastian states that he will return the domains “free of charge” and that all he seeks is “a job at Google.” He wants to work at Google because he finds it “one of the best employers in the world” and still a place where one can introduce one’s own ideas.

So my advice to our new Professional Teachers but are still looking for vacant position at the Department of Education is for them to take this Lützig’s way of finding a job. I don’t mean that you’ll do the same thing what he did, instead think of ways that will make the people at the Department of Education recognize you.

You can try these things:

  1. Pursue masteral degree in Education, and after finishing a masteral degree, pursue again a doctoral degree in education.
  2. Organize your own pre-elementary school. I mean go find kids who need to take the pre-elementary education and teach them. Ask permission and assistance from the barangay government where you’re in. Even if they’ll not give you financial assistance, but at least you’ll have their moral support. After having the support of the barangay government, go let the district office of the Department of Education recognize your effort.
  3. If you can’t do the number 2 suggestion, then why not go to the principal of an elementary school near you and ask for a voluntary teaching job from them.
  4. Organize your own  a class of native (Aeta, Manobo, Mamanwa, Kongking etc.)  students and start teaching them the basics in education. Ask assistance from the local authorities and then let the district office of the department of education near you recognize your effort. If you can do this, then I’m sure, the government will give you 1 permanent teaching position.
  5. Blog about the Philippine Education. If you’re lucky enough, you can become popular by just blogging.
