Wow! I just can’t understand what I feel (nasa heaven na yata ako) while reading the post of my favorite Sun.Star Cebu columnist, Ms. Janette Toral at the Digital Filipino blog.
When reviewing Ratified’s list of top blogs, it caught my attention lately that Sustines Laplana’s (Sel) blog is currently ranked number 2. However, if you’ll factor the aspect of residence in the Philippines, Sel is actually based in Maasin City, Southern Leyte. (A place I visited once to do a lecture on e-commerce a long time ago.) …
… With more than 3800 feed subscribers, you can say that this humble and very simple blogger from Southern Leyte has gone a long way and should inspire us in improving our craft in order to succeed. More so, this is regardless where you are based in the country. Cheers Sel!
By the way, this is the first positive recognition that I have ever since. At least, one of the influential Filipino bloggers finally recognized my existence in the blogosphere.
Well, it’s all thanks to my co-Filipino bloggers who called me idiot and dumb. They really encourage me to do the things that I think can help me enhance my writing and blogging skills. Consider reading my posts: My Writing Style and My Success in Blogging, Even Idiot can be an Expert, Be an Expert Like Carl Ocab, and Even Idiots Can Blog Better Than Smart Bloggers.
But considering how I got that thousands of feed subscribers sometimes made me feel guilty. I am not really sure if the method I used is acceptable to some of our friends who are ethic-sensitive. Actually, I consider that method as an evil way of gaining feed subscribers. There might not be no trick nor there is deceit on that method but I did utilize the weaknesses of this people for them to subscribe our feed.
I will just hope that these subscribers will enjoy reading our write-ups and will learn lot of things from them.
