The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 28,924 out of 67,728 passed the Nurse (First Timers, Repeaters, Removals and Voluntary Retakers of all subjects) Licensure Examination given by the Board of Nursing in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last December 2007. Ten (10) out of the 14 Retakers as per C.A. Decision passed and 729 out of the 1,132 Special Certification Retakers for C.G.F.N.S. passed the examination.
The members of the Board of Nursing are Carmencita M. Abaquin, Chairman; Leonila A. Faire, Betty F. Merritt, Perla G. Po, Marco Antonio C. Sto.Tomas, Yolanda C. Arugay and Amelia B. Rosales. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 1 piece 1″ x 1″ picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps, and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2008-2011. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals. The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board on Monday and Tuesday, March 17 and 18, 2008, with morning and afternoon sessions at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City (back of Mall of Asia). All must come in their white gala uniform, nurses cap, white duty shoes, without earrings, hair not touching the collar and without corsage.

We’re currently waiting for the release of the result on the Nurse Licensure Examination. Last year, the result was released on the midst of December, so we’re also expecting to receive the result on that week.

e anu ngayun kung mas mahirap ang december 2007 kaysa sa past na exams? it wont matter. bakit? nkalagay ba jan sa license mo na mas mahirap ang exam na na take mo?? what is important is that you passed the exams fairly and you have your license.
madali lang talaga ang board exams sa mga matatalino.. xempre yung mga pumasa sa nursing na galing sa low standard na school talagang mahihirapan sa exams. But kung galing kau sa 1 sa mga CENTER OF EXCELLENCE SA NURSING sa pinas madali lang yun! para ka lang ngtake sa 1 sa mga long exams nyu.

I’m not a nursing but a MECHANICAL ENGINEER and have a friend who took the Licensure Examination last December 2007. I hope if God’s will she pass it. If I should her, I will accept whatever result comes ahead with an open-mind and very thankful, for it is her own fate. She deserves to pass rather than to fail. But failures sometimes is unprecedented. Failures come to test you and take again for another chance. PRC sets schedule and revised memoramdum for the Philippine Nurses’ Licensure Examination (PNLE) scheduled for June 2008. On the other hand, the results of the December 2007 PNLE will be released soon. I hope they won’t prolong our agony anymore… = )

Release date is due on the last week of February apparently coz they still have to deliberate on the low passing rate — lowest turnout so far of all the nursing board exams.
sources leak that BON made only 43% pass this december 2007 NLE, as this will all trigger the quality of Nursing Education in the Philippines. there are 2 ways BON made this thing possible. its a good business of PRC and BON having the Nursing examiness as a milking cow aka sources of funds…b. Reflecting to dgrade the quality of Nursing education in the philippines. this is not to Ate Glo, the pogi points degrades her administration, or say, squeeze the examiness to fail so as the money keeps coming to PRC and he BON, come to think if an examinee will pay PHP 300 x 60,000 per exam schedule wow magandang racket ito ng BON at PRc. PNA should have to react the kutong business of BON and PRC…
I think your being paranoid…. i don’t want to entertain that idea. But true…… this waiting thing is becoming a torture. i thought it would be released on the first week of February. i hope they would give us a clearer date. honestly, my career path is congealed until the results are out. turns out hospitals does not accept nurses that are underboard not even as a trainee.

NURSES’ LICENSURE EXAMINATION IN THE DECEMBER 1 and 2 EXAMINATION CAME FROM THEIR VERY OWN COLLEGE AND THAT THEY HAVE ALREADY SEEN THE LIST OF OFFICIAL PASSERS IN PRC.
TO PNLE EXAMINEES: HOW CAN THIS POSSIBLY BE? IS THIS A MANIPULATION BY THEIR DEAN WHO IS A FORMER BOARD OF NURSING? OR IS IT AN INSIDE JOB IN THE PRC?
HIS NAME ACCORDING TO THE FACULTY OF NURSING IS “DINDO “X”.
HOW COULD THE COLLEGE POSSIBLY KNOW WHY THEIR STUDENTS TOPPED THE EXAM?

You’re saying that your school is ALMIGHTY, so?Even If your school did topped the exam, don’t you think that it’s inappropriate for PRC to communicate anything to anyone or to any school given that they haven’t supplied the list of successful examinees in the paper or in their website. Hell that can provoke suspicion! I’m not making a big did out of this like I believe it, but, you bragging about your school like it’s the greatest thing ever, and you talking about a message from PRC sent to you’re school like PRC cannot wait before the list is finally in..doesn’t make people like me happy…

Ey everyone! I dunno’ but I feel like the results are really in. Why do you think temporarily unavailable ang website ng PRC at the moment? Maybe they’re working on putting the names (hopefully–it’s a long long list)of the passers. But, that’s just my guess.
I’m not trying to make anyone paranoid because I have as much paranoia as anyone who took the PNLE. Don’t worry you guys, we’ll pass. And as cliche’ as that may sound, it’s true.

MANILA, Philippines — The results for the December 2007 nursing board exams will be out this Thursday, the Professional Regulation Commission said.
In a telephone interview with INQUIRER.net, PRC chairman Leonor Rosero-Tripon said the passing rate was 43.42 percent, “within the usual range” of passers.
She said some 67,000 nursing graduates took the exam last December, among them were those who were required by the Court of Appeals and the United States’ Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools after the June 2006 leak of some test questions.
The controversial exam resulted in new procedures for testing and checking of tests.
