Earthquake Jolts Philippines?

I was in SIRE internet Cafe (Barangay New Era, Quezon City) when I heard the news about the earthquake that jolted the Philippines at 12:29PM.  Xinhua website reported:

An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale shook the seas west of Luzon, Philippines at about 12:29 p.m. (0429 GMT) Tuesday, according to a bulletin released by the Hong Kong Observatory Tuesday.

The epicenter was determined to be located at 16.0 degrees north latitude and 119.9 degrees east longitude, about 85 kilometers west-southwest of Baguio, Philippines.

I was actually wondering why I didn’t experience it. Was it because I was 3,100 meters above the earth or was still in Tacloban city?

By the way, I am now blogging here in SIRE Internet cafe in Quezon City.
