The YesAsia’s own in-house Associate Program, one of my top-source of online income, will be terminated. The program is not really terminated. It’s their in-house program only because YesAsia now use the third party to manage their associate program. This is what the email from the YesAsia Team has told me:
We have an announcement about the YesAsia Associate Program: we’ve decided to transfer our in-house program to a third-party affiliate network, in hopes of offering a more professional platform, up-to-date promotions and more frequent payments than in the past.
Our plan is to phase out our in-house associate program by the end of 2007, and we will pay all commissions for sales generated up till December 31st, 2007. However, we will stop updating our associate banners by the end of November.
Currently, our commission rate will stay the same, but working with an affiliate network comes with many benefits, including:
- Access to a product catalogue feed with over 50,000 products
- More banner formats
- More frequent promotion updates
- 30-day cookie tracking, so sales will count for up to 30 days after a customer visits your site.
- Enhanced tracking on some networks, e.g. even if a customer deletes their cookies, Webgains can still track the sale.
- Monthly or weekly payment in USD by either cheque, bank transfer or PayPal
- Cross-tracking with YesStyle.com. You will receive commissions from YesStyle.com if customers purchase after visiting both YesAsia.com and your site.
I am still interested with the YesAsia program. After all, this is my 2nd top online earner. And I am planning to make use the Google Adwords in making more money from YesAsia’s products.
Just recently, I signed-up an account from the WebGains. WebGains is the third party service that manage the associate program of YesAsia. Currently, I am still waiting for their approval on my application.
