Feed subscribers via email and our regular visitors are both important to me. They both patronize my writing. They both help me grow as blogger. If you noticed that I am really working hard to increase the number of feed subscribers via email, it doesn’t mean that I am already disregarding our regular visitors.

Last week, I received an email from one of you telling me like this:

Hi Sel!

I noticed that your focus is now on your feed subscribers via email. I just wish that you’ll not neglect your regular readers who come into your blog daily just to read your write-ups. Remember that regular readers could be the source of your income because they really are always in your blog, not like your feed subscribers via email who are just waiting for your write-ups to reach their mailbox.

Well. Thank you so much for reminding me about the importance of the regular readers who flock our blog everyday just to read our blogposts. They really help our blog attain its higher rank in any ranking systems that utilize the actual hits or pageviews.

I know that what you’ve said on that email is all correct based on your understanding. However, I just want to correct it based on my knowledge and understanding. I might be idiot or dumb or moron as what other bloggers told me before, but at least I have my own standard.

Source of Income

Our blog’s sources of income are not just the ads placed on our blog, but also from the products published within the blogposts.

Actual visitors of our blog can be converted into cash if they will interact with the ads on our blog. Or they can send money to us if they will buy any of the products featured on this blog.

It might be true that feed subscribers are just waiting for my write-ups or articles to reach their inbox (email), but it doesn’t mean that they never visit our blog. This is actually a challenge to me on how to let our feed subscribers visit our blog. Once they’re here at our blog, they can now do the things that our regular visitors can do.

But, based on my observation, regular visitors and feed subscribers do not interact with our ads they saw on our blog. They’re not interested with them. If they’re here at our blog, they just read our write-ups or scan what I wrote and published here.

To let you know, those who really interact with the ads placed on every corner of this blog, are those users who came here through the search engines. They searched for something at the search engines and accidentally stumble upon our blog. When they found nothing here, they just looked at the ads and visit those who got their interest hoping that they might find the things they’re looking.
