Idiots Excelled the Professional Licensure Examination?

I am just curious if the machine that checks the answer sheets for the licensure examination for teacher is very credible and reliable. Mostly in our school, the students who passed the examination are those students who seldom go to school…Iwas just wondering what were their answers to the questions. Halos hindi pumapasok sa school, so saan nila kinuha ang mga answers nila….It’s been 5 years now and halos lahat nang mga nag top saacademics sa school namin ay hindi pumasa sa LET…mabuti pa yong laging absent, nagkokodigo tuwing quiz at exams pumasa pa…Kami na naging seryoso sa pag-aaral, halos takot umabsent, laging nangunguna sa pagpass ng mga projects na required, halos perfect lagi ang mga quizzes o kayay exams ay hindi pumasa…Kung titingnan ang aming mga TOR at icompare sa mga pumasa dito sa school…I am very proud to say that I deserve to pass the exam…..hindi kaya nagkakamali din ang nag tsetsek nang answer sheets? Please enlight me on this….I do hope to hear a reply on this…

I think, we can apply the saying, “Don’t judge the book by its cover”, to this kind of situation.
You know, you can’t tell at all times the brightness of a student by just looking at his achievement in school. There are those who are idiot like me but are ranked top in the class. And there are also smart students like you who are ranked at the bottom. The students’ achievement in school is just the result on how the students responded during the teaching-learning sessions.
If it happened that you graduated your course with honors, to tell you, it’s not a guarantee that you’ll pass the licensure examination of your profession. You still need to work hard so that the knowledge you gained from your course will remain fresh in your brain and that you can easily access these knowledge during the times that you need them. And one more thing, you need to remember the 3 important things you need to have to pass any examination.
But why is it that those who are idiot in your class excelled the licensure examination? Well, you might think that those people are idiot but actually they are not. It just happened that they had no interest in attending your classes or interacting with you at the class, but they’re minds or brains were working especially during the review and refresher classes they attended.
However, it is also true that there are real idiot who passed the exam without expecting it. By just reading the questionnaire they already know that they will never pass the exam. But when the result was released, they were just surprised because they’re names are included on the list of passers. If you’ll ask them of what they did on the exam, they will tell you what they did and for sure, you’ll think of good luck, miracle or whatever.
For example, I have a friend who was considered as idiot at their class, took up the Licensure Examination for Registered Electrical Engineers and passed the exam. He then told us that brightness is not needed to pass the exam but it how wise you are. He’s not really good in memorizing the mathematical and engineering formulas, but at least he had a little knowledge about them. So, during the exam, he just used his eyes on spying the answers of the nearby examinees and compared the answers to his answers. With that, he can decide which answers were right and wrong.

I am one of those people who got the flak from the review center and review classmates for passing the board exam for teachers without attending the reviews much. I’m not a straight A/honor student. But I know I am smart enough. I don’t think it’s the machine’s problem. I think you should ask yourself if you have the brains for it. Sorry for being sarcastic, and sorry for letting you know that you are sour-graping. Passing an exam has nothing to do with how clever you are in having good grades in school. Stock knowledge is important. There is always no sure guarantee that if you aced it in achool, you will also aced it in the board exam. Right- never ever judge a book by its cover. Two things to remember in taking the LET exam – follow instructions AND don’t fret too much. Just do your best and STOP sour-graping…please. The sour-graping is virtually annoying the “so-called idiots” you are referring. If these “idiots” passed, what does that make those who did not pass? Cheerio!
you know I think you’re just so confident with your own self.Which makes you so boastful and tends to forget God’s help that’s why God is reminding you that without Him you can’t do nothing Try to think also the other possible,baka you filled up with wrong set of answer sheet,cguro dapat Set A ang sheet mo eh baka naman Set B nilagay mo.or baka there’s a problem in your shading the blocks,diba if you put too much pressures in shading the blocks the machine will not going to read the paper?i-rereject ng machine…don’t worry you still have another chance to take.Just think that there is something that God wanted you learned.Remember His word says. “All thing work together for good for those who love God.”
You know, I took the licensure exam 1999. I studied on my own for 8 months and only went to the review center 6 times. Do you know why I passed? I followed instructions. This girl beside me got the ire of a teacher from UP. Do you know why? She didn’t follow instructions. So please don’t give me a lecture about being boastful. I have been a teacher for 10 years and if I have been truthful, swallow it! I think you got my comment in a wrong context. But passing that LET was an achievement. If it’s as simple as shading correctly, go practice it. I did. Did you? So please don’t lay off the innuendos of sour graping at my back and I suggest you focus more on yourself. I’m just letting you know that first comment was a sweeping generalization. I have had 5 students who are taking up education now. You think it’s being boastful? It’s hardwork! It’s as simple as that. So I feel sorry for all those so called “idiots” being referred to. Don’t judge a book by its cover. I am confident because I know what I am doing. I have my own achievements here and abroad even if I wasn’t a straight A student at school. It’s plain hardwork and common sense. I’m not out here for a fight. I want people to get rid of their own prejudices. I’m now afraid of what other teachers with these kind of prejudices would be teaching our Filipino youth. I recently talked to a Swiss reseracher in my recent trip for a conference. She told me that the Filipino ambassador told her about the plight of Filipino migrant workers and the stories are extremely alarming. If we put down our own “kapwa” Filipinos, can you just imagine what immaturity can lead? What you did was a sweeping generalization. It’s high time someone tells you. Selaplana was just too polite by telling you “don’t judge a book by its cover.” If God was reminding me something, God was reminding me to be truthful.

Being a cumlaude is not a guarantee that you can pass
the licensure examination. Only a fool think about that thing.
FYI those students who are tend not to attend their
class are actually the good one.
They do have a STOCK KNOWLEDGE………………….

I just can’t help it guys…dito sa amin sa medical/dental profession, marami rin namang ganyan na nangyayari. Mga Students who goofed off, skived off from their lessons and eventually rather surprisingly ay pumasa sa board exam. Siguro nga they follow instructions, and another siguro nga “stock knowledge”. Pero one thing for sure,iaatang nyo ba ang kalusugan ng inyong pamilya sa kanila? Ibang usapan na yata iyon. Madali mo madedetect mga tao na ito,especially yung mga 3-5 times na ngtry sa board exam, lalo na sa mga dental professionals. Sila yung halos pinakyaw na lahat ng mga titulo like, Orthodontics, Oral surgeon, Endodontics, etc., etc… Napakarami ng cases ng malpractice, kagagwan ng mga ganitong tao.
Ngayon kung nangyayari ito sa iba pang mga professions…anong kalidad ng trabaho ang maasahan mo mula sa mga ganitong tao?
I guess if not coming to class and not submitting requirements on time are any indication of being an idiot, I would definitely pass as one.
My classmates way back in college were also surprised at how I could get good grades even without being too attentive in class. I even graduated cum laude without really dying to prepare for exams.
During the LET Review, I was always late and it seldom happened that I was on time. It was not really out of sheer lethargy. I was busy with work.
Despite my nonchalance about attending these classes, I was serious about learning. I plan my absences, consider the lessons that I can study on my own, and attend the really difficult ones. In the end, I got 87.50 in the LET.
To answer your question, read between the lines.

sometimes, learning is a painful process… hurt your ego perhaps to have flunked a major examination… have you ever thought that maybe God is telling you that His will for your life is not teaching? just asking.
hello, hindi naman po porke’t lagi sila umaabsent eh wala na sila karapatan makapasa. Siguro, may talino lang din yung mga sinasabi mong estudyante na hindi pumapasok pero nakakapasa… yun tinatawag nating stock knowledge or tahimik lang sila sa klase pero may nalalaman pala…
we also have cumlaude pero hindi pumasa nung exam, you know why? because she is bookish, nakadepende lang siya sa pag memorize… out professor thought she was really intelligent, kapag nagrereport siya akala mo talaga alam niya sinasabi niya pero hindi alam ng lahat lahat ay memorized lang… and hula ng iba naming prof. hindi siya papasa sa board which is true, hindi nga siya nakapasa. and alam naman natin lahat na we can memorize the whole book without comprehension hindi po ba? we must consider some factors why it happens… review, review and review lang kapatid…
