Got My Value Master Card at Metrobank
I finally got my own Value MasterCard from Metrobank. And finally, I can now continue living in the cyberworld, because I finally have my own credit card.
What is Value MasterCard?
Well. Value MasterCard is a credit card, an international card that let’s you settle local and international purchases and subscription using our own (Philippine) currency. It’s similar to other credit cards but it differs in the requirement when applying to have this one, because you don’t need to bring any important documents like ITR (Income Tax Return) if you’ll apply for it.
What you need to do is to visit the nearest Metrobank branch in your area and accomplish a Value MasterCard form and bring with your PhP30,000.00 which will be used as collateral. Don’t worry about your money because it will be deposited (Time Deposit) under your name.
In other words, you’ll not just enjoy using the Metrobank’s Value MasterCard but you’ll enjoy the interest applied to your Time Deposit account.

Congratulations, for having a plastic money… But be warn, mahirap mag maintain ng credit card… as an advice since a have a credit card for more than 6 years with a good record of payment (huuumm, heheh) just monitor your purchases and your monthly due date to avoid penalties. Enjoy!!!
Cheers

thanks a lot po. actually i will use this only for my PPC campaigns.
magtonong lang po ako kung bakit ilang buwan na kmi ndi nakakatanggap ng statement / transaction details..gusto lng makita ung mga nagagamit ko..thanks.
Hello Po!
Baka po kasi hindi niyo ginamit yung card mo. In my experience kasi, kapag wala akong binili through my credit card, wala din pong statement o bill na dumadating. However po, kung may binili po kayo sa buwang ito before the cut off date, i-chacharge po iyon sayo sa ikalawang buwan.
Pero kung gusto niyo pong malaman ang tungkol sa account niyo, then just visit the bank kung saan ka kumuha ng card at magrequest ka sa kanila na kung maari malaman mo ung status ng account mo.
Thanks po!
this article has helped me a lot. i also got a value mastercard from them after reading this article and another one from marie casas’s blog.
to add: if you are after the higher credit limit and convenience, go for metrobank value mastercard as the process is really easy (i just opened a time deposit account with them and signed a pledge document) then i got my card in a month. the downside is that metrobank value mastercard has only one credit limit, that is, if you max your credit limit and apply for installment, you would only be able to free your credit limit either by waiting for the installment period to end, or if you pay full. another downside is that you have to wait until you reach the period when the time deposit ends, and only then can you increase your deposit to increase your credit limit.
