Filipinos and the Friendster

I started using the Friendster social networking site on the year 2002. I was invited then by a Canadian friendster user. And friendster at that time is not yet so popular among Filipinos.

But then after a year, I was just surprised when almost all students using the computers in our internet cafe were all setting-up their own friendster accounts. Friendster might not be as popular as My Space at that time, but at least, it was the most popular social networking sites among Filipinos.

Now, even if the Facebook Social Networking site is conquering the internet but Filipino teens are still loyal to Friendster.

Friendster Layouts

According to Google Trends, the searches on Frienster Layouts started to raise on 2006 and until now, the traffic continues to grow. And one thing that is noticeable is that most of the users searching for the Friendster Layouts are coming from the Philippines.

Obviously, this post is written just to ride on the trend. But what really urge me to write about it is my interest in measuring my ability in SEO.
