Note: I know that there are members of the the “Jesus Is Lord” movement led by Bro. Eddie Villanueva who are here regularly reading my posts. Don’t think negative about this post. I don’t hate your church not even Bro. Villanueva. I only want to comment about his statement during the interview by certain news reporter which was aired through the TV Patrol World of ABS-CBN.
I want to make it clear first that I am not a Bible Scholar. But I understand that to follow the laws imposed by the government as long as it doesn’t go against the laws of God is one of the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. In other words, the true Christians are also good citizens of their country.
So, when I heard Bro. Villanueva said that he will tell his followers in the “Jesus is Lord” movement to disobey the laws of the government, I immediately asked my self, “where did Brother Villanueva get the idea of teaching his followers to do the so-called “Civil Disobedience”.
Well, it’s fine to disobey the laws of the government if it go against the law of God. But to disobey the laws just to show their dismay to the government’s official is I think a teaching not of Christ. I don’t know what verse in the Bible can we read the teaching of “Civil Disobedience” as prescribed by Bro. Villanueva.
Anyway, you can post at our comment section the idea of whether the so-called “Civil Disobedience” by Bro. Eddie Villanueva is good or not.
Truth on NBN Scandal
Just like what I said on my previous post, “Jun Lozada for President?“, Jun Lozada might be telling the truth behind the ZTE Broadband deal. However, Lozada should show all his evidences to back-up his claims and to make the so-called “Truth” that he’s holding, the real “Truth”.
To let you know, there are two kinds of “Truth”: (1) The False “Truth”; (2) The Real “Truth”. The false truth is simply the twisted truth. It is the kind of truth that put innocent people to jail and ruined their dreams for their family. And we all know that lots of people became victim of this false “truth”.

Obviously its not right to call a movement to disobey the law of government lalo na kung galing to sa isang religion leader
Ito ang bagay na hindi mo maririnig kay Ka Erdie.

What I know from the bible is.. Whoever is in the government God put it there.. And the bible always tell us to respect the leaders because they are he lord in earth.
If they are not worthy God himself will do something to remove them from their place.
God has his plans and I know that moving a church for a demonstration is not good.
But moving a church and having prayer rally is good but it should not be combined with politics. or never politics should be included in any prayer rally.
Prayer Warrior should intercede to have good governance and not join in any public reaction.
This is my conviction

what i’m concerned about is why are the so-called church people so easily condemning another person just from a 30 seconds newscasts or from a testimony without any evidence. Catholicism and Jesus Christ taught us not to judge lest we be judged..

I myself am a new Chrisitian and I was just recently watching one of Bro. Eddie’s interview he had here in the states. It sounds as if he has good intentions for the Lord. And so far I have not yet seen or heard anything negative until I read this blog. Yes, it does say somewhere in the Bible to obey the ruling government. And to tell your followers of Christ to disobey the government isn’t something God would tell us to do. We must pray for the government and keep on spreading the message of the Gospel to our people and let God change people because it’s certainly not us that can make people change. Only Jesus has the power to tranform our hearts. I believe that it is only Jesus that can make a difference in our country. We must keep spreading the Word of God and continue to lead by example and cointinue to let Christ shine through us.

Are the Biblical principles relative? meaning dito sa ‘Pinas puede civil disobedience pero sa Cuba, China, North Korea hindi puede kasi takot lang nilang sagasaan ng tanke… saan nga ba sa Bible puede makita ang Civil Disobedience? nasa Bible din ba yung ‘ang tinig ng nakakarami eh ang tinig ng Diyos?’ so nung sinasabi ng mga Israelita na ipako sa Krus si Kristo, nung nagagalit ang mga iyun dahil dinala sila ni Moses sa disyerto eh tinig ng Diyos din yun? lahat ba ng taga JIL eh sumama sa civil disobedience?
