Returning from his highly acclaimed drama series Time Between Dog And Wolf, Korean heartthrob Lee Jun Ki stars in Iljimae, a fusion historical drama set during the Joseon dynasty that chronicles the life of a chivalrous robber known as “Iljimae”. Unlike other outlaw heroes such as Robin Hood and Hong Gil Dong who were accompanied by a band of followers, Iljimae likes to play solo. His storybook romance with government official’s daughter Eun Chae (Han Hyo Joo) is soon discovered by the Imperial Guard who has held deep affection for Eun Chae for some time. And standing in his shadows is Bong Soon (Lee Young Ah), a jolly feisty swindler who would trade her life for his at any given minute.
