   Your perception of the catholic faith is as small as a grain of sand in the sea. I am a catholic and i have worshiped God the father through his son Jesus. I dont worship saints and all catholics dont worship saints. Images and idols serve us like photo albums serve the purpose of remembering the ones you love or the friends you adore. Unless you are a catholic yourself, your perception of our faith will never be as deep as our understanding which will take years to build and nurture. Not like your literal interpretation of the bible. We believe in the spirit, that is why we speak of what is right from the spirit within us that is from God. Whatever understanding you have of God is based only on the extent of the human mind to comprehend. There is more to him than a verse in the bible. I hope you wont judge us from what you see on top of the iceberg.

   Just like what I said on my other articles, Catholics say that they never worship the images of the Saints or even the Saints. However their actions contradict what they’re saying.

   When Catholics have problems they pray to the Saints. When the Catholics received grace, they thank the Saints. God needs to be worshiped but Catholics served the images instead of following the will of God. They kissed the images, the kneel in front of the images, they carry images in procession, they offer flowers to the images, the celebrate feasts of the images.

   When the Catholics are saved from any disaster, they thank the Saints. Almost all things the Catholics need, they asked them from the Saints.

   Catholics never realize that those so called Saints are already dead. And the Bible clearly teaches that Dead couldn’t help the living anymore. The dead are sleeping and waiting for the day of Christ.

   Catholics never realize that there is only one mediator between God and men. The only mediator is Christ.

   You said that you believe in spirit. But what kind of spirit is it? Is it the spirit of God or the spirit of the enemy of God? http://www.selaplana.com/2008/05/02/roman-catholic-church-the-church-of-the-devil/

   Now, how could we know that a certain worship is not a worship of God? It is because the real worship of God is stated on the Bible. The worship of God using images is against to the will of God.

   It might be true that you don’t follow the same way the Catholics worship images. It might be true that you are worshiping God not the images. But since you are Catholic then it is also true that you are worshiping God using the images of the Saints. However, the truth written on the Bible is clear that the true worship of God is not a worship through the images but the worship in spirit and in truth.

   But how could we worship God in spirit and in truth? Remember that the truth is the word of God. So if we worship God, we need to follow the words of God.

   But how about the worship in spirit? Well, spirit according to Christ has no flesh and bones. So, it is wrong to worship God in images.

   I agree that photo in the album “serve the purpose of remembering the ones you love” but the way Catholics use the images of the Saints is different to what they’re doing to the photo of their loveones.

   Are the Catholics worship God using the images of their dead Grandfathers? Do the Catholics carry the photo of their dead grandparents during the procession for God?

   But just like what I said earlier, worshiping God using the images of man or anything is not the true worship of God. And if it’s not the true worship of God, then we are sure that it is the worship of the enemy of God.

   @Catholic by Choice: Actually, the main reason why the Roman Catholic Church doesn’t use the Bible as the basis of faith is because the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church mostly are opposite/contradicting the doctrines of the true Church of Christ recorded in the Bible.

   @ReligionSucks: Your faith is based on your religion. If your religion is pagan in nature, then your faith is that of pagans.

   In arguing who is right or wrong, we always use a standard. If the discussion is related to Philippine laws and politics, then we use the Philippine Constitution and Codes as the standard. Since the discussion here is related to Christian Religion, then our standard should be the Bible because Christ’s teachings are recorded in the Bible.

   Those who find religion stupid, then they have the right not to read any articles about religion and they have the right to avoid any religious discussions.

     the doctrines of Christ are recorded in the Bible. The true Christian are those who believe Christ and follow his doctrines.

     People who believe Christ but do not follow Christ’s doctrines could claim to be Christian but not really Christian.

     If I say “Catholic worship the Demon” it’s a conclusion by examining how the Catholic worship their god and comparing the fact to the truth written in the Bible. Let us not forget that there are only two opposite power that control the world: God and Demon. So if a religion failed to follow the true way of worshiping God, then that worship is not of God but of Demon.

     Don’t worry. In writing this article, I am not telling you to reject your Catholic Faith. I am just telling you what kind of worship do Catholic have.

   most of those people who pretend that he know how to explained the sacred scripture are mostly people who found his own religion…the bible mentioned images(on the exodus)which is not to be worshipped..this images the bible represent are the images or gods of the pagans..which is totally condemned by God..next time when they try to explained or interpret the bible they should look the history,the real meaning or the essence or above all the invoke of the holy spirit..THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH IS THE ONLY TRUE CHURCH FOUNDED BY CHRIST..AND THATS ALL..ONLY THE CHURCH HE FOUNDED…

     The Roman Catholic Church is the only true church founded by False Prophets during after the death of the Apostles on the first century. see my article, The existence of the false prophets.      Those who pretend that he knows how to explained the holy scriptures are those who don’t know how to use the Bible and how to follow the teachings recorded on it like what Catholic do.

     The worship of God is clearly taught by Christ that it should be a worship in Spirit and in Truth. Spirit according to Christ has no flesh and bones while the Truth according to Christ is the words of God. So the worship of God should be based on the words of God not on the words of Catholic Priests and its doctrines of demons. The worship of God should not be through the images of the Catholic Saints who are dead for so long ago.

     According to the Bible, the church founded by Christ is only one, and it is the church of Christ not the Roman Church.

    Can u pls state in wat religion or sect u belong? There is only one true Church founded by Christ Himself. Mt. 16:18. U cannot deny it. If u r a member of that Church I will believe in you but unfortunately no. I’m pretty sure no and 100% no because u r judging the only Church founded by Christ. Do u know Latin, Greek and Hebrew? If not it’s again 100% that u r a sure false prophet. The Catholic is the only Church with an Apostolic Succession and this is supported by History and Holy Tradition. If u dont believe this Church that’s not our problem anyway. No wonder the false prophet doesn’t know that he is a false one. I’m sorry to hurt u but u deserve it, repent there is still a chance for u to go to heaven. Be careful because the 2nd beast in the Book of Revelation is a religious leader like you who leads the people to hell. May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless us all always. Shalom1

      I already wrote articles exposing the truth of what church is the true Church of Christ.

      Catholic Church couldn’t be the true Church of Christ for a lot of facts. Mt 16:18 couldn’t be used to back up the claims of the Roman Catholic Church for reasons:

      1. Christ built his own church not the Roman Church.
      2. Christ built his own church on himself as the rock foundation. Roman Church was built on someone called Peter as rock foundation.

      Dont spread errors in name of living God !!!.

      a. Our lord had tweleve disciples, initially word was given to them and they spread the Gospel. Lord gave them commision to preach. You and I have have got the word of God preached to us indirectly through them.

      b. Read history, In place called Antioch , Church under the Paul and Peter came to called Catholic. That is here Catholic keyword originated

      c. Christ is in all no doubt. But the rock was St Peter. On this rock Lord said he will build his church.

      How did you come to your conclusion ?

    I am a 16 year old catholic. We do not worship statues of pray to saint. We ask saints and mary to proceed our prayers to God. Saints are just Good example for us to live by. Fair enough we have to follow Jesus’ footsetps but he was perfect so it is really difficult to follow him but saints did not lead perfect lives, they are like us example Saul now named as Paul. I am sorry but I am only 16 and I can assure you my insight to my religion is so much diverse and deeper than yours that the information you provide becomes invalid. I do not insult or speculate your religion so please do not insult or speculate about mine becuase in actual fact the first church to be founded was the roman catholic church.
    By you bad moutch Catholics you have lost what faith is…Faith is believe in what others seem as unbelievable…faith is showing intersting in God not in toher people fault even if we worshipped statues…which we dont…if idividually we have a better relationship with we are seen as true belivers

      You said, you are not worshiping the statues yet you are carying it during procession, you are kneeling in front of it, you are kissing it, you are offering candle to it. You also said that you are not praying to the saint, yet you are doing it. Did you forget that you are praying the holy rosary, saying the novena for Mary and other Catholic Saints?

      You said you want to follow Christ’s footstep yet you are not doing what Christ and the Apostles taught.

      I am not insulting your religion but I am exposing the false doctrine and practice by comparing them to the teachings of Christ and Apostles recorded in the Bible.

      And besides, your assertion that the roman catholic church is the first church is wrong. To let you know, the church founded by Christ in Jerusalem is not roman in nature, and not pagan in nature. The first church founded by Christ is the Church of Christ itself.

      Did I bad mouthed the Catholics? I am not using my mouth in talking here. I am just using my keywords.

      And another thing is, the true faith is not the faith in the catholic god but in the true God taught by Christ.

    No, we don’t believe, trust and worship the same Jesus teached by the Roman Catholic Church, by the Jehova’s Witness, by the Mormons, by the Free-Masonry, etc. because my Jesus is based on the Bible, but their Jesus is based on traditions.
    My Jesus
    - didn’t born on December 25,
    - never teached to worship creatures as animals, saints, angels, etc. but he said – “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)
    - had brothers and sisters according the flesh,
    - has not any mother, called “Madonna” or “Queen of the Heaven”
    - is coming back soon getting his people among the clouds,
    - will vomit lukewarms as religious people,
    - etc.

    Moreover ECUMENISM is not by GOD, but by the spirit of the Antichrist!
    Suggestion? Reject from the Great Babylony = Roman Catholic Church and accept the only and true Christ described on the 66 inspired books of the Bible.

    By taking only a part of scripture from St paul writings, please dont come to such a conclusion. It is essential to know the scripture from the perspective of tradition and history. And you may not forget the word’s of our saviour to St Peter to be rock, rock on which the church catholic stands.

      What was written in the Holy Scriptures is enough. Apostle Paul said that we should not go beyond what has been written, especially those traditions of men.

    Further the straight answer to your question from Catholic perspective is that Saints are venerated. Veneration is the key word here. Many catholic and non catholics do not get this concept right. I can poinjt ou not one but many verses , but please search the google for the same you will get your answer and much more. It is important to know the tradition and history of how the Christ was preached to pagan nations by our Christian forefathers so please read the same and you will find the basis for why the Statues are carried in the procession etc. Also you will understand that across the parts of the globe you will find certain customs which are still non-christian but are part of the Christian festivals, Does that mean Catholic church is demonic. It is your ignorance speaking.

    Also regarding your article on Marriage , please read the verses of Saint Paul, being Celibate or married are both person choices of men and St paul has clearly highlighted the advantages and disadvantages of both. Also he does not say any where that either one of them is wrong. But being Celibate is best choice to serve the God as men are freed of their worldy worries and only concentrate on, you will come to this conclusion if you read his complete letter. So why dont to you take that verse of St paul and show it here, instead relying on the vesrse of St Timothy alone.

    As for the false prophets , read the verse of Weeds by St mathhew carefully. Irrespective of the denomination false prophtes are every where in world preaching Christanity for living than love of God. So false prohtes are not exclsuive to Catholic Church alone. On day of judgment they will recive their due from God. Please dont judge people by your incomplete knowledge , with the measure you use it will be measured against you, for fear the Lord who sits in judgement seat. For man of God who studies the scripture ought to possess the understanding and ask the Lord who gives in abundance.

      First gather you facts from reliable sources and then prove your points. Do you know the difference between Fact and Truth. Fact is relevant w.r.t time reference, where as Truth is eternal. So get your fact rights and when you put facts in support of your reasons please bother to quote all relevant verses instead of picking out one particular verse and using that to your advantage. Biblical truth has be understood in totality by refering to all verses. And without knowing the Jewish boy called Jesus Christ and his jewish traditions how do you understand the bible my dear friend.
