After creating an account at Paypal, that account is in default an “Unverified” account and has limited use. “Unverified” Paypal account usually couldn’t send money but it can receive payments. (If you have no Paypal account yet, get one by clicking here)

So, obviously, the money that you received at Paypal will be held as long as you do not verify your Paypal account.

Getting Verified simply means you are a confirmed valid Paypal users with a current and active bank account.

So, how do you verify your Paypal account?

Here’s what you need to do:

1. First you need to have your own credit card or debit card. If you don’t have one yet, you can get an EON Card from Union bank. And make sure you deposited PhP500.00 or more because in verifying your Paypal account, Paypal will charge your card for $1.95. This is to make sure that your Credit Card or Debit Card is still active and valid. But don’t worry, after you successfully verify your Paypal account, Paypal will return the charged amount into your Paypal account.
2. Then login to Paypal.
3. Click the “Lift the Limit” tab.
4. Then “Add the Credit Card”.
5. After adding your credit card, Paypal will charge your credit or debit card with $1.95 and at the same time sending you the EXPUSE number which is need to finalize the verification process.
6. You can get the EXPUSE number through the statement of account that will be sent to you by the card provider. If you are using the EON Card, you can have it by asking the customer support of the EON.
7. Login again to your Paypal account and finalize the verification process by entering the EXPUSE number.
