I started blogging as my way of enhancing my English writing skills without thinking of monetizing the blogs. My purpose in blogging changed when time came that blogs could now be monetized in different ways. I found it hard at first in monetizing the blogs that I started but then when I learned the secrets and the techniques in making money online by blogging, and acquired enough skills in writing, webdesign, and marketing, everything became easy for me.
Yes! Making money online by blogging, is not really an easy way for beginners. Just like what I mentioned above, it requires knowledge and skills in writing. And if you’re running your own blog you need to understand the things about webdesign, and most especially marketing.
You might heard or learned different stories of other bloggers how they started blogging and making money online with their blogs. They also give tips, ways and means on how to do it. And it seems easy for you to follow the steps they told you, but then in reality, it’s hard.
Okay! I am not telling you this in order to discourage you to blog and make money with blogs. This is just to inform you the truth in blogging and making money from it so that you can easily think of ways how to succeed making money online by blogging.
It might be easy to create a blog. You just open an account at Google’s Blogger or at Wordrpess dot Com, create the blogs, customize them using the available resources, and then you can now start publishing your own articles and journals. But you couldn’t start making money online with your new blog immediately. You still need to drive traffic into your blog because without traffic, without readers, or without visitors of your blog, your blog is actually dead and you will never earn money from it.
That’s the reason why you need to know SEO or search engine optimization and web-designing. I am not saying that you need to become expert in SEO and web-designing. But, it is of course your advantage if you are well knowledgeable on these fields. However, basic knowledge on them is already enough.
You need to use the SEO in gaining traffic for your blog from the search engines result pages because users who are coming from the search engines are best one that can be converted into your blog’s income.
You also need to learn the basic in HTML, because SEO job sometimes requires you to tweak the code of your blog’s template.

Hello SEL. I agree with you that making money from blogging is not easy at all. It takes time. Also, I believe one must align their revenue generation projects to their blog niche for easier positioning.
I agree with you. Mahirap tlga especially kung bago lang ang blog mo. (btw, i have six blogs now. hihi.)
Pero nung nagstart ako mag monetize, mejo matagal na ang blog ko nun, mga two years old na sya at may maganda ng traffic at PR, so hindi ako masyadong nahirapan kumuha ng mga opps, etc.
Mahirap lang tlga sya kung bago nga ang blog mo at ung may-ari ay noob pa at nag start syang mag blog dahil may pera nga sa blogging.

I think what is also important with blogging is that you enjoy what you are doing and you are able to share (through your blogs) what you know or what you have in mind or anything that would attract and creat readers patronage. Me, I wish I could spend more time in blogging- for me to express what’s in my mind and of course hopefully to earn $!

I’ve been blogging for about four months now and I have to agree with you that it’s not that easy to make money out of blogging (especially for make money online niche which is too way competitive).
The technical things maybe easily learned but driving real traffic is the most challenging. And because I’m not a natural writer I really have to struggle creating content.

Another approach is to blog without thinking about making money online. If you create a blog whose purpose is to help people find whatever it is they’re searching for, the money will follow.

i agree with Leah Tirol-Magno that we must enjoy what we are doing. I actually don’t compensate yet for blogging,but so far after three years of serious blogging I still enjoy it. i just think to have a personal website so that i can extra money out of writing.

I think that for some people blogging is a gift. I have been blogging for over a year and my blog does nothing. I think for you the words come naturally. Or as you said, you learnd how to blog.
