GMA7’s Codename Asero is really a good Techno-TV Series for you, showing you some high-tech devices and high-tech half-machine man. The main story might be good which is all about the competing top secret agencies. The talks might be entertaining. But the fact is I was not entertained by it.
Why am I uninterested with the GMA7’s Codename Asero?
First of all, the story of the Codename Asero is about top secret agencies and agents but they are not actually using the real principles of the real top secret agencies and agents. Paetechie talked about them at his blog and mentioned two things:
- The agencies in the story are not using the principle, “know thy enemy and know thy self.”
- The way the Advocacy agents use to detect if Asero is a cyborg is not really realistic. Just as what Paetechie mentioned, cyborg can really be detected by merely using x-ray devices.
However, if the writers behind the Codename Asero really want to make the story realistic, then they should at least do some research regarding Top Secret Agency and Agents and about cyborg too.
I guess they did not watched cyborg related movies like “Terminator” and “I Robot”.
Another thing is: The funny characters portrayed by Michael V and Janno Gibbs are actually not needed on the story, including their not-on-time jokes. These two characters are just showing stupid things. Well of course they can mix funny and serious stories in one TV Series but they should present it in better ways just like how Jacky Chan showed funny things on his movies.
I wonder if the “Palos” and “Lobo” of the ABS-CBN inspired the writers of creating the story of the Code Name: Asero of GMA7. “Palos” was actually a story of a secret agent of certain Agency, while the name “Lady Q” of the Codename Asero is similar to the name “Lady L” of the “Lobo”. If it is true that “Palos” and “Lobo” are the few of the previous TV Series and movies that inspired the people behind the creation of Codename Asero, then Codename Asero is a failure because “Palos” and “Lobo” were presented well than Codename Asero.

Those writers are just inventing things without even researching. This is just the same thing with Mulawin.

Very good review. Those are the reasons why I don’t watch “fantaserye.” They are really stupid, better watch national geographic channel.

quoted me there but didn’t get my name right
i really feel that shows on tv have a duty to educate their viewers. not only their plots or twists become irrational, their legal “lessons” only make people ignorant of law in the real world.
i don’t have to cite examples…you know what i mean.

Hey! Nice read you got here. I actually agree with you on this one. GMA has been producing a lot of crappy shows lately.
Lets not even start talking about DAISY SIYETE.
I might puke.
and my son wouldn’t like me puking on his bed.
More power to your site!
