How to Make Money by Blogging in Lazy Way?

Is there any way we can earn money by blogging without working hard to blog? That is the question that new bloggers asked after reading my article entitled “Becoming Successful in Blogging“.

That way of thinking is actually the main reason why lots of people failed to make money online and became victims of the online scammers. These people don’t want to exert effort for them to earn money. They don’t want to wait for the right time for them to become rich. What they want is earning money without doing anything and getting rich quickly.

Making Money by Blogging the Easy Way

Actually, the 4 things mentioned in my article, “How to Succeed in Blogging“: knowledge, passion, hardwork and discipline, will not just make you succeed in blogging and in making money online through your blogs, but will also make blogging so easy.

Just consider my way of blogging here on this blog (SELaplana) as the example.

To let you know, even if I will not publish new articles… even if I will not share you the things that you should know for you to succeed in blogging and making money online… even if I will do nothing for 3 months… I know, I will still be earning money from this blog.

And it actually happened already.

Last March 2008, I went home in San Agustin, Surigao del Sur to visit my mother and sisters, and of course my fiancee (she’s my wife now) who was teaching Pre-Elementary grade in Marihatag, Surigao del Sur. There was no internet cafe in these places. And I don’t have mobile phone that could be used to access the internet. So, while I was there, I never visited my blog and did not do any updates and I was just wondering how my blogs was performing.

And then on the following months (April, May and June 2008), I was again busy preparing for my wedding. So I again failed to do my blogging jobs.

But the good thing is: This blog and my other blogs were earning money for me. (Read my blogpost, “My Blogs Saved Me“)

But that wouldn’t happened if my blogs were not yet well established. During that time, this blog had more or less 1,000 daily visitors already. And out of that daily visitors, the blog was already making a decent income.

What I want to tell you is that … if you want to make money by blogging easily like the way I am earning money from my blogs, then you need to build first the foundation of your blog.

When I say, the “foundation of your blog”, I am referring to the traffic of your blog.

But how can you build the foundation of your blog?

So, I assume that your blog is new or even if your blog is more than a year old already but only few is visiting your blog. Consider these things:

  1. Starting today, strive hard to publish at least 20 quality, interesting, helpful, and useful articles in a month. Do it in 5 months.
  2. Apply on-site SEO into your blog and other pages of your blog.
  3. Apply off-site SEO into your blog or gather backlinks from other websites or blogs into your blog and other pages of your blog.

These steps will lead your blog to gain thousands of visitors. And as you gain more visitors, I’m sure you’ll also earn more money, because traffic is money. Once the traffic and your income become regular, then that will be the time that you can start making money by blogging in lazy way.

Make Money by Blogging in Lazy Way

When talking about making money online by blogging in lazy way, I am not telling you here that lazy bloggers will succeed because it is already a truth that lazy people will never succeed.

What I am actually telling you is that you’ll be more relax here in doing your blogging job. You are not already pressured to write new articles that should be published into your blog and you can just lay in your bed and dream, and wait for the visitors that the search engines will refer into your blog (Except of course if you set your own policies in blogging and that these policies include the number of articles that should be published into your blog.).

However, it doesn’t mean that you have nothing to do anymore.

Lazy way of blogging is actually dependent on the traffic brought by the search engine result pages (SERP). Basically, you need to top the searches on your targeted keywords. These searched keywords is characterized by a high volume of searches but has a low competition on SERP.

This activity is actually called by other Filipino bloggers as “Keyword Hijacking” but I am calling it “Keyword Hacking”. But since the term “Keyword Hijacking” is much popular than the “Keyword Hacking”, so let’s just use the name “Keyword Hijacking”.

    There’s no easy way in making money blogging. It takes more time to see the great results. A lot twisting and tweaking on your blog is to be done.
    Earning quick and money overnight is not on blogging.

      I agree that making money by blogging is not easy especially if you don’t know how to do it and don’t have a well established blog.

      But I guess you’ve read already my post and understand my points why I consider it as an easy way…

      actually the keyword hijacking trick i’m doing is just the same on what you did. the only difference is the keywords we’re trying to hijack.

    I coudn’t agree more. One more thing to consider is PATIENCE. without it, you will never succeed, I remember a time wherein I really wanted to quit blogging. Thank God, I didn’t. Once you have all the things to succeed, add some patience on what you are doing and expect rewarding results in a few months time.

    Get Rich quickly schemes doesn’t work.. all the time.

      hi! thanks for more input. By the way, I consider “Patience” as part of the passion. If you have passion, then you will patient on what you’re doing.

      That’s why I always advise those who asked me help to put his passion in what every they’re doing.

      Others might tell us that to succeed in blogging, one should start blogging on the topic that he’s passionate of. However, you can also be successful in blogging if you put your passion on the blog you started with whatever is the topic of it.

      yes! that’s what I really want to point out. as blogger, you should work hard first to build the foundation of your blog and after that, you can now start blogging in a lazy way.

    To sum up, making money is easy when your blog is already established. Sure, your examples are great. You can leave your blog for months and it still makes money from you. Well, maybe we have to consider the fact too that your blog is on top of SERPs ranking :)
