Thanks for this info Sel! I myself is blinded about “unlimited bandwidth” of hosting companies. So it’s just a way of saying “unmetered bandwidth”.

what i mean is that dreamhost is strict in CPU usage. They offer unlimited bandwidth as long as the CPU usage of your blog is low. So, the first step that you should do is to minimize the CPU usage of your blog by

1. installing WP-Super-Cache and activating the Super Cache feature.
2. uninstalling all plugins that are not really important but is using too much memory and CPU resources.

Actually, I have more than 30 blogs (blogspot and self-hosted) but i have the hard time updating them.

Hmmm. Silly me, I never thought of that. So, you’re saying as long as we don’t have dedicated servers all our blogs would suffer?

I’m trying to develop 2 more blogspot blogs but I don’t have time to post my own contents so off to Ezine I go. Nyahahah.

I think, even if you’ll transfer to Dreamhost as long as your blog has high CPU usage, your blog will still experience downtimes especially if your blog will be hosted by dreamhost shared servers only.

Bandwith has no limit but CPU usage is a bitch. My host suspended me again thanks to the recnt CPA exam release. Hayz. I’m gotta move to Dreamhost after a week of this crap.

I’m wasting potential income!

and oh, I turned on supercache…. I think it was just on half on though. Hayz!

Naku, maybe you mean unlimited problems Well, WP-Super-Cache can really save your ass in terms of traffic spikes like my one time 61K hits But yeah, good you emphasized “either” of them, because two cache plugins at the same time is really not recommended (ex. hypercache and wp super cache”)
