I did check the WhoIs information of the domain, “NIMOYF.COM” and I found out that the registrant of this domain is coming from Beijing, China.

Because of this information, I am suspecting that a hacker hacked my Yahoo Mail account. But how?
I think, the hacker who hacked my Yahoo Mail account used a special program in hacking email accounts. This hacker is not just guessing on what might be the password that I was using for that Yahoo Mail account because I am using special characters as part of the password.
Now, if the hacker really used the software in hacking email accounts, then I might not be the only victim here. So, I googled the sentence below:
I would like to introduce you a very good trade company . I bought the electronic products from them recently.
It’s enclosed with the quotation mark so that Google will search webpages that contains exactly the texts above. And the result showed that there are other people in the internet who talked about it already. And they experienced what I experienced.
So, maybe the hacker used malicious programs in getting the username and password of the victim’s email accounts like Trojan, Keyword Logger, etc.

WOw, this is scary. My yahoo mail account was hacked too but I have not encountered any change in signature like you do. When I login to my account, I was greeted with a message from yahoo telling me that my password has been compromised and that I should change it immediately. Well, that’s what I did. I changed it immediately and I also used special characters. But with keyloggers and stuff like that, I think only time will tell before we will be hacked again.
I think, all yahoo email user are urged to change their password but not all those who asked to change the password are hacked.
It’s just unfortunate that my Yahoo email account is one of those hacked accounts.
@Sir Sel,
How would I know if my account was hacked too?
The other day kasi while I was trying to sign in in YM chat, I was redirected to a web page telling me that someone is trying to use my account, and I was asked to change my password. So yun, nag change ako ng password.
So, na hack din ba yun or what?
as long as you have the access to your account and that there are no changes in your account’s settings, your account is not yet hacked.
Just like what I replied at Ark’s comment above, Yahoo asked all Yahoo Email users to change their password maybe because lots of Yahoo EMail accounts were hacked and were used in spamming just like what my account experienced.
damn chinese hackers.
most of the hackers and spammers are coming from China…. that’s what I realized.
fortunately for me, di pa naman ng hack ung email accounts ko.. just my blog
the worst thing is if your email account which is connected to your webhosting is hacked dahil nanakaw na yung email account mo, hacked pa yung blog mo.
I already experienced that before. my selaplana@yahoo.com email was hacked by someone. And since this email is connected to my http://www.pasugo-online.com, kaya pati yung website na hacked din at na defaced, and also my personal website at geocities.com/selaplana .
kaya dapat palaging mag-back up ng blog database, mahirap na.
yes… that’s the best thing to do.
hey! the worst hacking i know was asking money from your friends. I have been a victim of those hackers already. I have chatted them too.
I think that’s not hacking anymore. I was fooled by those persons before but I did not bite.
That was one naughty person Selboy. Hmmm, dapat dyan paluin noh.
oo nga hehehe…..
yesterday, while I am logging-in in my yahoo email, i saw a message which asked me to change my password because my yahoo email has been hacked by a third party and is using it to send messages to those in my address box.
being weary about phishing attempt and all, I was hesitant at first, but as I scrutinized the message and screens that followed, it was indeed a legit yahoo warning, and my e-mail was hacked.
who does (hudas!) these things? and why do they do it?
I think all of the Yahoo! Email users are urged to change password. I think, lots of Yahoo Email users are victims of the hacking for spamming.
this can also happen if the password you use to signup to online services is the same with the one you use on your emails. the owners of those websites can easily steal your identity if you use the same passwords in your online accounts. just a tip because I’ve already encountered some sites that do this. What more if that password is also your Paypal password?!
it’s a good tip. Before replying your comment, I changed first the password of my other email because the said password is used in my other online accounts.
Thanks for the tip….
shucks yan nga ung nangyari sakin… napasok ng hacker ung paypal ko, pero I’m glad that naretrieve ko ung account ko. Nagemail din ako sa paypal eh nung time na di ko na makuha ung paypal ko, buti at di ako tanga… nakuha ko rin after 30minutes ung mga accounts ko. di naman ako nadisappoint sa paypal kasi nagemail din sila after 1-2days… nung time na un, about sa nangyari dun sa account ko.
Dapat ingat ka next time
oo nga… mahirap na baka yung hacker ay hindi lamang gagamitin ang email in spamming kundi, i-change pa ang password.
Got that message in my inbox. Akala ko autoresponse mo yon.
so, kung ganon, my email account spam everyone…..
naku, that’s very unfortunate sir Sel. Hackers are everywhere online. I watched a CNN news video the other day about hackers; nagtest sila with a credit card, where a woman will order things online. After 15 minutes, na hack na ung card nya – nag order yung hacker ng 15 boxes of pizza. Damn.
waah kuya same tayo, pero wala akong ganyang emails na nareceived. actually, I’m suspecting someone pero ewan mali ata hinala ko dahil parang pinoy na taga Pinas ang gumawa eh. Pero ewan ko, i’m not 100% sure, all my accounts were hacked.
Like to watch Stargate Atlantis episodes and also Lost. I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Look forward to reading more from you in the future.
HI, I am facing the same problem. rather it automaticaly send the same mail as a autoresponse. I tried contacting Yahoo but they cudnt help. How can I stop this automatically adding of text to my mail.
Hi friend..you should check your system for malware, spyware and other threats.
i suspect that the hacker used a web based hacking technique..where like you visit a website but on the background the website is silently changing your email settings while you are logged in in your yahoo from your browser. and they are automaticaly using the cookie from your live yahoo sessions..
Your blog is amazing, i first landed to another post but then get interested and thought, i will just look a little more arround to see what else i can find out about myspace stuff
