I would not be suprised if Google does use keywords in some way, though. Just my gut feeling on the issue.

Meta tag is still scanned by the Google. In fact the Description (meta) is still used by Google in the SERP.

However, Matt Cutts of Google revealed that the “Keywords” (meta) is not already used by google.

Another great post. A quick question though, I have read that meta tags are not anymore read by the big G, how true? Y! on the other hand may look at the tags though.
