Chupacabra Photo – Video

Chupacabra literally means “goat sucker”. It’s a cayote like hairless animal that attacks goat, sheep, turkey, and other livestock and then it sucks the blood of the victims until the blood drains. Animals that became victims of the Chupacabra has 2 or 3 puncture wounds on the chest.

Just recently, Lynn Butler a former student of the Blanco Taxidermy School captured a dead cayote-like animal in the barn of his cousin. It was his first time to see it or even touch it that many considered as chupacabra. So, Butler brought the animal to the Blanco Taxidermy School to be stuffed later.

Here’s the photo of the chupacabra:

Actually, chupacabra got famous when it allegedly attacked livestocks in Puerto Rico starting March 1995. Lots of animals had been killed by believed to be a vampire. Then the attacks spreaded to neighboring countries such as Dominican Republic,  Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua,  Peru, Brazil, United States, Argentina, Panama, and Mexico.

The killings at first made the people to wonder what kind of animal responsible for the incident until a hairless dog-like animal that attacked  livestocks had been killed by a rancher in Texas. Then similar animals were sighted in different countries even in the Capiz, Philippines.

Here’s another video that talks about the chupacabra:
