South Korean Authorities Raided Google’s Office

The search giant, Google, has been facing lawsuits in other countries over the private data collected by its Street View service. And as part of South Korea’s investigation whether Google collected private wireless data in Korea while its Street View cars took pictures of the streets, South Korean Police raided the office of South Korea Google.

The Korean authority said that those Google cars tapped with cameras that were taking picture of the South Korean streets might be illegally capturing personal data from wireless network, just like what happened in some other countries. They will investigate Google officials in South Korea and scrutinize the date the authorities had confiscated.
