Lone Winner of Lotto 6/55, From Olongapo

Finally,  there’s a lone winner of the Lotto 6/55 winning the jackpot prize of PhP741,176,323.20. According to PCSO Tuesday, the bettor placed his bet for the winning combination 11-16-42-47-31-37 in Olongapo City.

The PCSO reminds the winner to sign his name at the back of the ticket then visit the PCSO office at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) along with the ticket. If afraid in going to the PCSO to claim for his prize, he can instead get a lawyer to represent him. Then he can immediately deposit his money to the Land Bank of the Philippines inside the PCSO.

If I were the winner what should I do to the money?

Actually, I have no chance to win any of the Lotto games just because I don’t place any bets for any of the these kind of gambling. However, if I will be asked what should I do to the money if I were the winner of about PhP750 million, then here’s what…

  • 50 percent of it will be time-deposited to a bank.
  • 25 percent of it will be invested for a/ business/es
  • 25 percent of it will be for the church. But I wonder if the money that I will offer to God will be acceptable to God in the sense that the money came from gambling which is, according to the Bible, a sin. And the Bible teaches that the offering you offered to God should be blameless.

But by the way, if I were the winner, I don’t think I can still claim the prize. The amount is huge and my excitement of winning such jackpot prize might led to my death by heart attack.

Juan Manuel Marquez vs Manny Pacquiao Part 3

The world has seen the fight of Juan Manuel Marquez against Katsidis this Saturday in Las Vegas. And just like how he fought Pacquiao during their two bouts, Marquez was down on the third round by the left hook of Katsidis. But Marquez was known for it. Usually, he would be down on early rounds yet he could recover and fight till the end of the bout.

Now that he retained his WBA and WBO titles, he’s positive that he’s the best challenger for the world’s number 1 pound for pound fighter Manny Pacquaio. He just want the third match. However, he argued that the fight should be at 140 lbs.

Why 140 lbs?

Well, it’s just part of the strategy to ensure the winning. Juan Manuel Marquez has proven to himself that he’s at good shape at that division. So, he can fight Manny Pacquiao toe to toe. And the world knows that it will be a great fight while Floyd Mayweather Jr is down there defending himself from criminal charges against him. Remember that Manny Pacquaio and Juan Manuel Marquez are both brawler, so just imagine what will happen in the ring when both brawler face.

Pope Clarifies His Stand Over Abortion Not On Condom

On November 21, 2010 if my memory is still in its best, Pope Benedict statement over the use of condom surfaced in a Vatican news paper. Pope on his statement allows the use of condom in avoiding the spread of the HIV.

His stand over the use of condom is a little bit opposite to the past popes who banned the use of condom.

During vespers service, the Pope again urges the world leaders to show respect to human life even in its earliest stage because according to him embryo is not just a biological material but an autonomous individual. In other words, we should stop abortion. Media picked it up as a clarification to the pope’s stand over the use of condom.

However, there was actually no abortion happened when using the condom. Remember that abortion is murder someone. But then you are not murdering anyone even the embryo when you will use the condom.

So, it seems that Pope really supports for the use of condom because he did not corrected his statement over the use of condom.

Samsung N220 Laptop

I recently bought an Asus Eee PC that promised me a longer hours of use of about 10 hours. However, there’s a laptop that promises 2 more hours longer than that. And it’s the Samsung N220 laptop.

The Samsung N220 laptop is using the 6 cells battery that can be used up to 12 hours. So if you charged it fully, then you’ll have no problem using it in places that there are no electrical outlet to use and there is nothing to worry about it to suddenly being shutdown by power loss. The secret to this is its use of LED-LCD display which delivers more crispier images but is low-powered. Besides, its 10.1 inch display is equipped with anti-reflective technology which makes watching movie in bright day-light even more exciting and enjoyable.

Regarding its price, the Amazon online store sold it for only $349.99. Check this.

Why are there Carnappers?

Question

I noticed that carnappers and car-thief business flourished in the Philippines. Why?

Answer

There’s only one reason behind this, that is, the law enforcers are not really enforcing the law against theives. In short, Philippine police is partially useless.

By the way, a congressman has a statement as reported by the media:

Meanwhile, Iloilo Rep. Jerry Treñas urged the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to look into the involvement of car insurance firms in snowballing number of carnapping incidents in the metropolis.

He said that car insurance firms and agents were allegedly conspiring with car thieves to enable them to pass off stolen vehicles as legal and be able to register them with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) without any hassle.

Citing the information he gathered, the Visayan solon said car thieves normally steal vehicles that has the same model, color, and make of vehicles that had been completely wrecked due to serious accidents.

He added that the registration papers, the official receipt, and other pertinent documents of the condemned vehicle are reportedly being sold to carnapping syndicates who use these documents to “legalize” carnapped vehicles.

“My sources tell me that the engine number and the serial number in the chassis of the stolen vehicles are replaced with numbers that appear in the engine and chassis of the condemned vehicles. With this, the hot cars will take the place of the condemned vehicles, hence, they become perfectly legal,” Treñas, chairman of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability, said. Personal Taste – MBC TV Drama

Appearing in his first drama after Boys Over Flowers, Lee Min Ho inadvertently bats for the other side in the 2010 MBC romantic comedy Personal Taste. Lee Min Ho plays it straight as Jin Ho, a young stickler architect with a lot to prove if he wants to keep his firm afloat. Movie star Son Ye Jin charms and bumbles as aspiring furniture designer Kae In, whose simple heart and messy ways lead her to trouble and heartbreak. Mistaking Jin Ho to be gay, Kae In rents out a room to him, and they begin a new blabbering, bickering life as odd-couple roommates. But what happens when feelings change and the truth comes out?

Though Personal Taste aims for laughs and cute romance, the drama also handles its material with surprising sensitivity. Growing impressively as an actor, Lee Min Ho plays his role without any stereotype, leaving the comedy to sidekick Jung Sung Hwa. Kim Ji Suk (Chuno) and Wang Ji Hye (How to Meet a Perfect Neighbor) co-star as the scheming romantic rivals, while Ryu Seung Ryong delivers a memorable supporting turn as Lee’s admirer. Look out also for appearances from Bong Tae Gyu, Yoon Eun Hye, and 2AM’s Im Seul Ong who makes his acting debut as Lee’s nagging friend.

Selected episodes (1-2, 7-16) and all music have been specially re-edited for this English-subtitled DVD release of Personal Taste. First Press Limited Edition set comes with many special features including cast interviews, making of, music video, outtakes, and more.
