North Korea Bombarded South’s Tiny Island


The North Korea bombarded the tiny island of South Korea, Tuesday, killing two South Korean soldier and injuring civilians and destroying the homes. Residents of the island of Yeonpyeong are fleeing seeking for the underground shelter while their homes were set to blaze by the shells of the North artillery. The island lies close the border of the two Koreas and the South soldiers along with those of the US are currently doing military exercises near the island.

The South shelled back the North and President Lee Myung-Bak of the South ordered airfighter to attack missiles base if provocation continues.

On a statement, the North accused the South of firing the first shots which the South denies. The US and Japan condemned the attack and President Obama called the attack provocative.
