Deputy Director General Nicanor Bartolome is the new PNP (Philippine National Police) Chief who takes over the command from General Bacalzo on Friday. The turn over ceremony was held in Camp Crame in Quezon City Philippines.
General Bartolome is a member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class 1980. He served as spokesperson of few former PNP Chiefs particularly Jesus Verzosa and Avelino Razon Jr. who were implicated in the PNP scams. Jesus Versoza will be charged for the anomalous purchase of helicopters while Razon is being investigated for a possible corruption of PNP’s money.
He revealed on his speech that his vision is that he will leave the PNP on 2013 while the police organization already has qualities like self esteem, self-pride, competent, and confident, and most of all, with initiative.
