It was reported by the Visayan Daily Star that the Division of Negros Oriental of the Department of Education will be filling 121 teaching items by September 15, 2012. The filling of new teachers to the vacant items will based on the Department Order 12 or The Amended Rules on the Hiring of Teacher 1 Positions which was issued by the Secretary of DepEd Brother Armin Luistro on February 1, 2012.
In other words, the hiring of the new teachers, as assured by the DepEd Division’s Assistant Superintendent, will be based on the applicants’ qualification and ranking procedure.
The vacant teaching items include:
- 38 kindergarten school teacher
- 34 elementary school teachers
- 49 high school teachers
