About Me

My friends call me “SELBOY”, but you can call me “SELaplana” or “SEL”. My real name is “Sustines E. Laplana”. I am a member of the “Kamayo” tribe of San Agustin, Surigao del Sur or simply an “Oteizanhon”.

I am an Electrical Engineering graduate from the Leyte Institute of Technology, Tacloban City (now Eastern Visayas State University) batch 1998. I am one of the jobless Filipino in Eastern Visayas. I am the only jobless here in our province that earns a decent income online by blogging.

Making Money Online by Blogging?

Yes! I started blogging just because I wanted to enhance my writing skills. I was not even thinking that I can make money from it. But after learning few things on how to monetize a blog, my goal in blogging started to change. Now, I blog not just to enhance my writing skills but also to earn money from my blog especially that I have no other sources of income except my blog.

The Blog:

The blog focuses on Technology, Products, and Entertainment in general. You’ll find tips on making money, blogging, SEO, Adsense optimization, Product Reviews, product promotions and sales (DVD, Gadgets, Books, Software, Computers…). From time to time you’ll find sponsored posts which are categorized as “Pay Per Post” posts.

And since this blog is an associate of the YesAsia and Amazon, you’ll find also posts that features some products of these two companies.

The theme of this blog is made available by Me. And currently, I am focusing my posts on lessons to be learned from different issues as the blog title say, “Learn Lessons with SELaplana.”

On Religious Posts:

I have posted several personally-written articles on Religion. However, I want to tell you that I am not authorized to preach the truth written on the Bible, and those articles couldn’t be considered as the official doctrine of the Church I affiliated with .

Writing religious articles is just my way of introducing and sharing my faith to all my love ones and friends who can only be reached by me through the internet. If you are looking for the official doctrines of our Church, please visit the nearest house of worship of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) and look for the Minister assigned, or talk any of our brethren to arrange a meeting with our Minister.

I always read and checked the comments posted at the comment section of every posts of this blog. All comments that I consider spam will be marked spam. All comments that contains usable info but is linking to a site that I hate to be linked will be edited.

However, there are also comments that are directly sent to my email by replying the copy of my writeups (sent by Feedburner to all feed subscribers via email). And that from time to time, I will be talking about your comments (whether posted at the comment section or sent via email) on my future posts.

Goal:

Two of my targets are: To own a site that receives 1,000,000 Unique Hits a day and to earn $100/day or more with YesAsia and Amazon.

      I don’t think that’s impossible. I receive 700 unique visits daily with only 83 posts. I only started my blog a year ago and when compared to seplana, mine is pretty much newbie so I could daresay that he’s definitely getting it. :)

    I read your post regarding your new bike! Wow!
    It is stories like these that puts wind beneath the wings of rookie bloggers like me. I have a month-old website and although I am lost most of the time in this world wide web (took me 3 weeks to learn how to add photos to m y posts from my 16-yr old daughter!), I am very excited to learn!
    I like that the field of blogging is not heavily saturated and it seems that blogsites need other blogsites to survive (links exchange etc.)

    Musta. Of course I can’t forget the people who became part of my IT life in LIT. Hindi po yata ako maging blogger ngayon if not because of the knowledge and expertise I acquired from the LIT-IT group headed by Sir Petilla.

    I visited last year the school and found out na some of the LITCOS members are already employees of the school. Glad to know that.

    itatanong ko po ung about dun sa blog niyo sa prc let exam result september 2010.Nakalagay po dun sa blog na list of names who passed the exam at nandoon po ung name ko.Nung tiningnan ko po ung result mula sa prc, wala po ung pangalan ko sa listahan ng mga pumasa.Pwede po bang pakilinaw nito.Kukuha na po sana ulit ako ng exam at kailangan ko pong malaman kung nakapasa po ako o hindi.Please leave a reply about this.This is really serious.Thank you very much.

    sir, good day, I was trying to add one of my blogs to your directory, but every time I entered the CAPTCHA code, it resulted to a page with a message:

    “Every CAPTCHA can only be used once. The current CAPTCHA has already been used. Please click back, refresh the page and try again.”

    I tried it several time sir with a different CAPTCHA code, but it always resulted to the later.
