After getting more than 800 million Facebook users and earning $4.2 billion in 2011, Facebook, the social networking giant, will file its IPO (initial public offering) of stocks on Wednesday, February 2, 2012. SSS Offers Amnesty to Delinquent Loan Payer

SSS revealed that they will be offering amnesty program to members with unsettled loans. Through this program, they will only be paying the principal and the interest without paying fully the penalties. The program will start on April and the deadline will be on September 30. But beneficiaries of the delinquent borrower who died without settling their loans can still file for the amnesty until March 2013.

PASAR Fire Tragedy January 2012

On January 2, 2012 at around 6AM, a fire broke out at the acid plant facility of the Philippine Smelting and Refining Corporation or PASAR. There were 11 fire trucks from PASAR’s own fire fighters, its neigboring fertilizer plant Philippine Phosphate Fertilizer Corp., and from the towns of Isabel, Merida, Kananga, and Ormoc City fought to control the fire.
