Are you using French-made implants on your breasts (or testicle if you’re male)? If you are not using implants, then you’re safe. But if you have implants, then you better check them whether they are made in France, particularly by the Poly Implants Prostheses company which is known as PIP. Women, particularly in France, are already advised to remove the implants because authorities have found out that the PIP- made implants are contaminated of industrial-grade silicon.

The silicon with industrial-grade are silicon that should not be used in medical purposes. The purpose of this kind of silicon is for industrial use, not for medical purposes as to be implanted to human body. And using this silicon as body implant is rumored to cause cancer to the user.

The British health department argued that there is no evidence found yet linking the implants to cancer. However, there is already one reported case of death of a PIP implant user because of cancer. However, the implant of this French woman was ruptured.

This incident sends message to the authorities and even to implant users that ruptured implants might be the cause of cancer to that woman. And while there are no other reported case of death, there are however more patients suffering from cancer and at the same time a PIP implant user.

You should really consider removing them from your body so as to avoid becoming another victim of it, considering that the PIP-made implants, according to reports, are easily be ruptured.

Actually, I am wondering if the former president’s (now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo) implant are made by PIP. It was reported in 2009 that she underwent breast implant procedure in 1980′s because of “medical necessity”.

I read in the news today about the successful separation of the 11-month old Sudan-born twins joined at the heads in UK.

The twins are Rital and Ritag Gaboura. They were separated in August by the surgeons at the Great Ormond Street Hospital and the operation is quite successful and the two are in good health.

The girls underwent four (4) operations: The first two operations involved separating the brain and its blood supply which took place in May. The third operation involved using tissue expanders to stretch and grow new skin in July. Then finally the separation itself in August 15.

The twins parents are both doctors in Sudan.

Just a little Trivia

Craniopagus Twins – It is what they call the twins joined at the head.

2004 – New York’s Montefiore Children’s Hospital separated Filipino twins in four major surgeries.

2003 - surgeons in Dallas successfully separated 2-year-old Egyptian twins joined

1956 – First successful operations to separate craniopagus twins

An Iraqi-born artist and professor of NYU’s Tisch School of Arts, Wafaa Bilal, installed a third eye (a camera) on the back of his head. The camera was attached to the three posts. Each of the posts was connected to a Titanium base inserted into the drill-hole on his skull. See the photos below.

Having a third eye on the back of your head is interesting, right? Just imagine you can see almost 360 degrees around you. But do you want a third eye like this one installed on Mr. Bilal’s head?

Wafaa Bilal considered it an art, but is it an art?

By the way, last week, the NYU Professor has underwent a surgery removing one of the three post implanted into his skull because his body was rejecting it even if he’s taking antibiotics and steroids. The other three posts however will remain intact.

The man in the photo is the first patient to undergo a successful full-face transplant.

He still looks weird but he’s better now after getting a new nose, face-skin and other parts from a dead donor.

Here’s part of the news story about him:

Before the surgery in March, Oscar – a farmer who shot himself accidently in the face five years ago – could not breathe, eat or speak on his own. He had undergone nine previous operations, and with each round of surgery it became increasingly clear that a complete transplant was his only option.

He then waited two years for a suitable donor, a deceased man near his own age. During the wait, therapists helped prepare him for the transformation the operation would bring. So far, Oscar is adjusting well. “Integration with his new image has been very easy, although there will always be an old Oscar and a new one,” Dr Barret said.

During the surgery, doctors extracted tissue and bones from the donor’s face and placed them in preservation liquid. They then transplanted lips, nose, teeth, jaw, cheekbones and tear ducts onto Oscar. His body rejected the new features twice, but doctors were able to successfully treat him. “It was a case of life or death,” Dr Barret told reporters immediately after the procedure.

Oscar can now move his eyebrows, upper lids, jaw and parts of his cheeks. He has regained feeling in most of his face and hair has even started to grow.

“Does his face look like the donors’ face?” said the surgeon. “We were afraid of that but it doesn’t at all. The family believes that he looks quite like he did before.”

Oscar has been able to speak for the past two months and can drink fluids and eat soft foods. He has not been released from hospital and allowed home. He is expected to recover up to 90 per cent of normal movement and sensitivity, but that will take between 12 and 18 months of rehabilitation, doctors said. – UK Independent

You might heard about Liposuction. Of course I heard about that too. Lot of Philippine Showbiz personalities engaged with that and most of them were under the service Dr. Vicky Belo, the most popular Doctor here in the Philippines.

What’s liposuction?

The Wikipedia defined it as the popular operation in plastic surgery which removes fat from certain places of the human body (typically abdomen, thighs, buttocks) by liquefying it and removing it through a hollow needle. In some cases, more extreme measures, such as abdominoplasty, may be needed.

In Dr. Amron’s (a popular Beverly Hills liposuction Doctor) website, it is revealed that there are three procedures or techniques used in liposuction (actually used by this Doctor):

Pure Tumescent Lipusaction, a remarkably safe procedure with a short recovery period, trims the body of unwanted fat. It can effectively remove fat deposits from all areas of the body, including the face, neck, chin, abdomen, hips, love handles, inner and outer thighs, buttocks, knees and arms.

Mini Lipusaction, a shorter version of his procedure and is ideal for spot reductions in one or two stubborn areas in individuals who are closer to their ideal body weight. Its goal is to make a slightly out of proportion individual more proportionate.

Most Popular Procedure is also called Los Angeles Liposuction. (I wonder what kind of procedure is this…

Anyway, I will do more research about it.

I once talked about Rhinoplasty before especially about Dr. Frankel. That was actually part of my BlogToProfit link assignment using the anchor text “rhinoplasty in Beverlyhills”. In the other way, that was also my first time to learn about Rhinoplasty.

Doing my assignments given by BlogToProfit is really interesting. It challenges me and let me learn something that I never learned before.

Now, I again received a link assignment from the same client that we have on the previous post that I told you. But this time, they want me to use the achor text “nose jobs” in linking to the site.

Why should we use “Nose Jobs” as the anchor text?

The client wants to top the SER on the keywords “Nose Jobs”. (Nose Job is actually the popular term for rhinoplasty which is also called as nose Surgery.) In Google SER, the site of Dr. Frankel is nowhere on the first three pages even in Yahoo! SER’s top pages.

What does it mean?

It means that the site of Dr. Frankel still needs more backlinks for it to top the SERP. I think gaining the top of the SERP is a very tough job for now because a lot of similar site are now gaining the interesting position. I don’t know how much will they spend buying text links like this before gaining the top most position on the SER of Google and Yahoo!.

So much for that, if you want to know more about rhinoplasty, visit this page and you’ll learn many things about it.

Today, I received another text link assignment from BlogToProfit. It’s my third set of links that should be posted on this blog. And take note that one of the requirements is that, one text link (in a given set) should be posted in one post.

And I noticed something on the text link assignments given to me. Among the 25 text links in the three sets given to me, almost 50% of it is under Surgery. So, I have no choise but to create a Surgery category on this blog.

So, what my next Surgery (text link) assignment?

Okay, I was told to give a link to Dr. William’s site on plastic surgery in Schenectady. According to the said site, Dr. William’s center is a leader in cosmetic facial plastic surgery, minimally invasive procedures and hair restoration. They offer many types of services, including: Facial Rejuventation (including minimally invasive treatments), Rhinoplasty/Nasal Reconstruction, Laser Surgery and Hair Replacement Surgery.

I think, that’s the only thing I can say about the site. I want to review it but I was not paid to do that, but just to give a backlink to the site.
