Cooling a beverage normally needs a cooling device such as cooler, refrigerator or chiller. And it takes time when cooling a beverage. Cooling the beverage using the ice is much faster than using the cooling devices.

Willie Revillame showed his Wil Pad placed on a PLDT phone on his prime time show, “Wil Time, Big Time”.

Owen, a staff of the show, played a car driving game which is pre-installed in the Wil Pad.

Late December, 2011, he revealed that his “Wil Pad” will be released on February this year (2012) for a bout PhP14,000.00 only, and it will be produced by the Filipino phone maker, Cherry Mobile.

So, I am just wondering if the Wil Pad is really made by Cherry Mobile. Because if it does, then the price of the Wil Pad should be in the race of PhP3,999.99 to PhP6,999.99 similar to the Cherry Mobile’s Cherry Pad and Cherry Pad Turbo.

It has been noted that the Wil Phone X8i is actually the same as the Cherry Mobile X8 phones and the prices of both phones are the same. The only difference is that the Wil Phone has been re-branded in favor to Willy Revillame.

Anyway, I learned that Cherry Mobile has Cherry Pad Supreme which is priced at about PhP 17,000.00. Maybe it is the one which is being rebranded as Wil Pad.

Apple iPhone is actually monopolized by Globe Telecom since the introduction of the said smart phone here in the Philippines. But it seems that the monopoly will end today as Smart announces that this wireless provider of PLDT will be offering the Apple iPhone 4S (the latest iPhone version) via its post paid plans.

The Apple iPhone 4S offered by Smart is equipped with a dual core A5 chip, 8mp camera and HD video recording, and features such as iOS, iCloud and the access to the AppStore. The device is available in 16GB, 32 GB and 64 GB.

80 Cents Per SMS

We heard from the news that there was an order from the NTC to the wireless communication providers: Smart, Globe and Sun; to lower the rate per SMS sent to 80 cents. But, until today, the 80 cents per SMS is not yet implemented.

So, I’m sure that you went through this “Naked Scanner” installed at 65 airports in the US. According to the report, there were 315 naked scanner installed in 65 airports since 2007. Those who will pass the naked scanner is actually randomly chosen by security personnel from the passengers and airline crews. Those who will be urged to pass the facility has the right to refuse, however, he will undergo the intensive search instead.

The problem with this naked scanner is not just that your whole body including your private parts will be seen by the personnel manning this facility. This facility is risky in the sense that it uses x-ray which can result skin cancer to the subject, according to US Scientists. Those at risk are people whose age is above 65, pregnant women, HIV patients, cancer patients and all men.

Why all men are at risk to this? A scientist explained that the skin of the sex organ of men is too thin that it will be easily damaged by the x-ray.

Buying a newly reconditioned suzuki minivan with 3 cylinder 12 valves 660cc engine and air-conditioning unit is just fine. But the price of it if you’ll buy it from the dealers are too high already which ranges from PhP185,000 to PhP220,000 depending on its features and accessories.

I visited earlier today a display center here in Maasin City, and I found this info:

The Negative side

But the problem with it is that the engine is quite smaller to drive the carry minivan especially when the air-conditioning unit is on. In other words, the engine will be overloaded when everything plugged are running.

I’m sure, you’ve seen already the Google StreetView cars. If haven’t seen yet one, you can check this out. But how about the Google Robot-Driven Cars?

The New York Times posted this photo of one of the Google cars driving in busy streets of the US.

That’s the Google car, a Toyota Prius, driven or was equipped with artificial intelligence and is capable in driving on busy streets. The AI software is even better than human driver for it won’t get tired, dizzy or sleepy and could react to any street situation better than human drivers.

Inside the car, sitting on the driver seat was a Google engineer and at the passenger seat was a Google technician. They’re there inside the car on Wednesday to assist the car especially at the times of trouble or emergency. But then according to reports, the seven Google cars successfully driven a thousand miles without these people intervention and 140,000 miles with only few human assistance.

So, it seems that Google is working to make those AI cars seen in the movie “I Robot” real. And time will come that human drivers will be replaced by AI’s. And if that happens, there will be no lives at stake just because a risky, drunk or sleepy drivers were behind the wheels.

And the other thing being emphasized with that ad is the price of the Kindle reader which is only $139.

Last July, India’s Minister for Human Resource Development introduced their own $35 computer tablet which was designed by their top school students and professors.

Today, the ABS-CBNNews reported that our government is developing a low-cost computer tablet that can be owned at around $70. This move is said to make Filipinos more competitive in science and technology and at the same time, giving ease to students for the heavy text books will be replaced by digital books that can be read by using the said tablet.

But my questions is: Is the price of $70 just right for the said tablet? India’s own low-cost tablet is priced at $35 only and I guess government officials are fond of overpricing just like what they did in the fertilizer scam, and the most recent is the DEPED’s noodle scam.
