When Catholics learn about this accusation, they immediately get insulted. They couldn’t accept this accusation because for them, they are worshiping the true God.

However, the only problem is when you’ll ask them what is the teaching of Christ about the true way of worshiping God they couldn’t answer you based on the truth. Their answer would base on what they think is right.

The Catholics answer this accusation by asking what are the bases that they use to accuse the Roman Catholic Church worship as the worship of Demon?

Before we will answer the question by our thoughts, let us first ask the Bible, how should we worship God?

You might wonder if the answer could be found in the Bible. And I will tell you now that the answer is really there. We could find it in the book of John 4:24 which says:

“God is Spirit, and those who worship HIm must worship in spirit and truth.” (NKJV)

The answer, if you will worship the true God, you need to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. Actually, it was Christ who said that.

Now, we already know that the Catholic worship God in images of those they called Saints. Is it how should we worship God in spirit and truth?

Well, Apostle Paul could answer that question. He said:

20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,

21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify HIm as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened

22 Professing to be wise, they became fools

23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man -  and birds and four footed beasts and creeping things. (Romans 1:20-23, NKJV)

Everybody knows that the Catholics really worship images. They might deny this fact but their actions speaks louder and truthful than their words. The images that they worship are those mentioned by Apostle Paul like images of man with birds, or with four footed beasts, or with creeping things. We could find a lot of these images. For example, the image of a man with a bird is St. Peter; the image of a man with four footed beasts is St. Isidore; the image of a man with creeping things is Virgin Mary sa Regla (Virgin Mary of Mentruation).

And according to Apostle Paul, this kind of worship is foolish. This is not a worship of God.

So, since it is not a worship of God, then we are sure that it is the worship of Demon.

In other words, the accusation that the Roman Catholic Church is worshipping the Demon is true and the bases is biblical.

When my classmate told me that my Church, the Roman Catholic Church is the church of devil, I failed to control my self and hit him in his abdomen. I took his accusation an insult to my faith and to myself as a member of the Roman Catholic Church.

But my classmate was so patient. Even if he was hurt already, he even tried to explain to me why he called my church, Roman Catholic Church, the church of the devil. And his explanation enlightened me. I found bases why he called the Roman Catholic Church the church of the devil and it made me sorry for hitting him.

The Roman Catholic Church teaches  the doctrine of devil

Apostle Paul in his letter to Timothy mentioned two doctrines of the devil or demon.

1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, 3 forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. (I Timothy 4:1-3, NKJV)

These doctrines are: (1) forbidding to marry; and (2) commanding to abstain from eating meat. These two doctrines of demon or devil are upheld by the Roman Catholic Church.

Ang disiplina ng Iglesia (Katolika) ay ipinatupad buhat pa sa pasimula, sa pamamagitan ng pagbabawal sa mga saserdote na mag-asawa pagkatapos na sila’y maordenan. The discipline of the church (Catholic) has imposed since the beginning by forbidding the priests to marry after they’re ordained. (My rough English translation) (Ang Pananampalataya ng ating mga Ninuno, p396)

Sa ikalawang utos ay ipinaguutos ng Santa Iglesia (Katolika) sa atin na magayuno at huwag kumain ng anomang lamangkati o karne sa mga araw na ipinagbabawal niya. The second commandments of the Holy Church (Catholic) is to abstain from eating meat during the forbidden days. (My rough English Translation) (Ang Aral na Katoliko, p139)

Now, since the Roman Catholic Church upheld the teachings: forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from eating meat; and these teachings are the teachigns of demon or devil; therefore, it is true that the Roman Catholic Church upheld the teachings of the devil.

If the teachings upheld by certain church is the teachings of Christ, then we can say that that certain church is the church of Christ. But if that certain church upheld the teachings of demon or devil then we can also say that that church is the church of the devil.

Short Review of the Past Articles

We learned from the previous articles that the Beast mentioned in the book of Revelation does not only have the three identifying marks like:

1. two horns (read my article, The Second Beast, The False Prophet)
2. like the lamb (read my article, The Second Beast, The False Prophet)
3. speaks like the dragon (read my article, The Second Beast, The False Prophet)

The Beast also

1. gave the people the mark on their right hand or on the forehead (read my article, The Followers of the False Prophets)
2. has the number 666. (Read my article, The Beast and his number 666)

And these identifying marks of the Beast or the False Prophet are all found in the Pope of the Catholic Church.

The number of Man

However, another visitor of our blog argued that the number 666 is the number of the man not of the office. According to him, Pope is an office not the particular man, so it’s not the Pope that is referred to by the book of Revelation as the Beast that has a number 666.

Well, it is true that the number 666 is the number of man and I agree with that because it was really written as stated:

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:18, NKJV)

The number 666 which is the number of the name of the Beast is also the number of a man.

17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:17-18, NKJV)

The Man of Sin

But the question is: who is this man who has the number 666?

Actually, this man is the one referred to by the Apostle Paul as the Man of Sin:

3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. (II Thessalonians 2:3-4, NKJV)

Again, Apostle Paul did not mention the name of that man, but he gave us the identifying marks for us to identify who is this man who is the Man of Sin.

The identifying marks are:

1. Man of Sin.
2. Exalt himself above all
3. He sits as God in the temple of God
4. Showing himself that he is God

We all know that sin is the transgression of law, as taught by Apostle John:

4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. (I John 3:4, KJV)

Since, it is said that that man is the Man of Sin. So, it is also true that that man committed sins. And did you know that there is a law of God that if you disobeyed it, you are already exalting yourself above all, and showing yourself as if you are God? Well, this law states:

9 “Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. (Matthew 23:9, NKJV)

According to Christ, we should not call anyone on earth our Father. Why? Because according to Christ, we only have one Father who is in heaven.

Is calling our father in flesh bound by the said law? No, because there is also another law that tells us to honor our father and mother as stated:

4 “For God commanded, saying ‘Honor your father and your mother’ and ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ (Matthew 15:4, NKJV)

In other words, the only forbidden thing is calling anyone here on earth as Father similar to the fatherhood of God.

So, what kind of father is God? In the book of Ezekiel, we could read this:

4 “Behold, all souls are Mine;
The soul of the father
As well as the soul of the son is Mine;
The soul who sins shall die. (Ezekiel 18:4, NKJV)

It was stated that all souls are of God. In other words, God is the father of all souls.

Therefore, the Man of Sin exalts himself above all, and showing himself as if he is God by claiming that He is the Father of all Souls.

The Pope is the Man of Sin

And just like what I mentioned already, we already identified who the beast is. The beast (second beast) mentioned in the book of Revelation is the Pope because the identifying marks of the Beast are all found in the Pope, like:

1. two horns (read my article, The Second Beast, The False Prophet)
2. like the lamb (read my article, The Second Beast, The False Prophet)
3. speaks like the dragon (read my article, The Second Beast, The False Prophet)
4. he gave the people the mark on their right hand or on the forehead (read my article, The Followers of the False Prophets)
5. His name is equivalent to 666, The Beast and his number 666.

Now, let us again examine if the Pope is the Man of Sin because the Beast is also the Man of Sin. So, since the identifying mark of the Man of Sin is his claim that he is the “father of souls”, then let us ask, is it true that the Pope claims to be the father of all souls?

In the book entitled, “Iglesia Ni Cristo”, written by Juan Trinidad, a Jesuit Priest, in page 12, we could read this:

At ang Santo Papa (Ama) ay ang pinakamataas na ama ng ating kaluluwa dito sa lupa dahil sa siya ang kahalili ng ating Panginoon.

At dahil sa ang mga saserdote ang nagbibigay sa atin ng buhay ng ating kaluluwa, sa pamamagitan ng pangangasiwa sa mga sacramento, sila man ay tinatawag na ‘ama ng ating kaluluwa’.

(And the Holy Pope (Father) is the highest father of our souls here in earth because he is the vicar of our Lord.

And because the priests give life to our souls by administering the sacraments, they are also called ‘father of our souls’.)

Our question is: Is the pope exalting himself above all and showing himself as if he is God by claiming that he is the ‘Father of all souls”? The answer according to the Jesuit Priest, Juan Trinidad, is “YES”.

The pope claims that he is the Holy Father. He claims to be the Father of the souls. He is claiming the titles that should not be called to anyone here on earth. He is claiming the titles of God in Heaven.

And one more thing: The other identifying mark of the “Man of sin” is that he sits in the temple of God. And this identifying mark is also true to the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church.

So, we are sure now that the Pope is really the “Man of Sin” who has the number 666.

On my previous article, I promised that the next article that I would write would talk about the first members of the church of the false prophets (which is the Catholic Church) which started to exist right after the death of the apostles (see my article, “The Start of the Existence of the False Prophets”). However, I decided that I would be writing about that topic on my future articles because I want to tackle first on this article the truth about the Second Beast and its number, 666.

We already had learned that the Second Beast mentioned in Revelation 13:11 has identifying marks. Three of these identifying marks are: (1) has two horns; (2) like the lamb; and (3) speaks like the dragon. And these identifying marks are all found in the Pope of the Catholic Church (see my article, “The Second Beast, The False Prophets”).

I thought that these three identifying marks are already enough for us to be convinced that the Pope of the Catholic Church is really the Second Beast or the False Prophet. But a reader of our previous articles argued that the Second Beast has the number 666. And according to her, if the Pope is really the Second Beast, then the Pope should have the number 666.

The number 666

The book of Revelation mentioned the number 666 as the number of the Beast. This is what has been written:

Here is a wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is 666. (Revelation 13:18, NKJV)

Well, there are lots of people whose names are equal to the number 666. For example, the name “Juan Avinas De la Cruz” is equal to 666. That’s the name of my classmate.

Summing them all: 5+5+1+500+50+100+5 is equal to 666.

However, I am sure that my classmate, Juan Avinas De la Cruz, is not the false prophet or the beast mentioned in the book of Revelation because he only has the number 666 but the other identifying marks are not in him.

Remember that the number 666 is not just the identifying marks of the beast given on that book of Revelation. Even if a certain person’s name is equal to 666 if he doesn’t have the other identifying marks of the beast, then he couldn’t be the beast referred to by the book of the Revelation.

Now, since the Catholic Pope have these three identifying marks of the Second Beast, then let’s examine if the Catholic Pope has the number 666.

Of course we knew that there are several dozens of Catholic Priests who became the Catholic Pope. So, our focus is not on the particular person who became the Pope of the Catholic Church but on the Pope itself. In other words, we’ll be dealing here the title of the Pope and let’s find out if it is equal to 666.

But Catholics might argue that what was mentioned in the book of revelation is that the number 666 is the number of the beast’s name as stated on Revelation 13:17 which says:

And that no one may buy or sell except on who has the mark of the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (Revelation 13:17, NKJV)

It might be true that what was written was that the number 666 is the number of the name of the beast. However, the term “Name” mentioned on this verse doesn’t always refer to the proper name of a man. Take note of this verse:

And he has on his robe and on his thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS, (Revelation 19:16, NKJV)

The quoted verse uses the term “Name”. But then the name that was written is not the proper name but the title. In other words, the term “Name” also means title.

And just like what I already said earlier, we are talking here about the Catholic Pope. So our focus will not be on the proper name of the Catholic Priests who became the Catholic Pope, but on the titles used by the Catholic Pope.

And according to the Catholic Encyclopedia the Catholic Pope used several titles like “Vicar of Christ”, “Vicar of St. Peter”, “Vicar of the Apostolic See”, etc..

In the course of the ages other vicarial designations have been used for the pope, as Vicar of St. Peter and even Vicar of the Apostolic See (Pope Gelasius, I, Ep. vi), but the title Vicar of Christ is more expressive of his supreme headship of the Church on earth, (www.newadvent.org/cathen/15403b.htm)

The titles “Vicar of St. Peter” and the “Vicar of the Apostolic See” could not be equated to 666. We should also take note that the title “Vicar of Christ” is equivalent to the titles: “Vicar of Jesus Christ”, “Vicar of God” and “Vicar of the Son of God”. “Vicar of Jesus Christ” and “Vicar of God” in Latin couldn’t be equated to 666. However, the title “Vicar of the Son of God” in Latin, “Vicarius Filii Dei” could be equated to 666.

Why should we translate first the title “Vicar of the Son of God” to Latin before summing their equivalent numbers? Well, the reason is: Latin is the official Language of the Roman Catholic Church and also of her version of the Bible, Vulgata.

But Catholics might argue that “Vicar of the Son of God” is not the official (word for word) title of the Pope.

Well, they can deny it but the fact that “Vicar of the Son of God” is the same as “Vicar of Christ” which is the one of the official Pope’s (word for word) title, is already clear that the Pope is really claiming to be the “Vicar of the Son of God”. It was even written in book of Pope John Paul II, “Crossing the Threshold of Hope” in page 3 that he (Pope) “represents the Son of God”.

Now, if the Pope represents the Son of God, then it is true that he is the representative of the Son of God. In other words, he is the Vicar of the Son of God. Since “Vicar of the Son of God” or “Vicarius Filii Dei” in Latin is equal to 666, therefore, the Pope really has the number 666.

The identifying marks of the Beast

With the addition of the number of the Beast, 666, we now have found 5 identifying marks of the beast that are all found in the Catholic Pope:

1. two horns (read my article, The Second Beast, The False Prophet)
2. like the lamb (read my article, The Second Beast, The False Prophet)
3. speaks like the dragon (read my article, The Second Beast, The False Prophet)
4. he gave the people the mark on their right hand or on the forehead (read my article, The Followers of the False Prophets)
5. number 666

Actually, there are many identifying marks of the false prophets that we haven’t yet taken up. But I will be writing about them on my future articles. And just like these 5 identifying marks that we already had taken up, those other identifying marks that we will be talking on my future articles are all found in the Catholic Pope.

From our recent studies, we learned that Christ gave us the description of the false prophets so that we can identify them. The false prophets according to Christ wear the clothing similar to his clothing when he was still here on earth, and they teach their followers the teachings of demons. These two descriptions of the false prophets are all found in the Catholic Priests. The Catholic Priests wear the clothing of Christ and they also upheld the teachings of demons which are (1) Forbidding to Marry; and (2) commanding to abstain from eating meat. (see the article, “The False Prophets”)

We also learned that members of the Catholic Church who are called Catholics are the people who are deceived by the false prophets because the description given by the Bible of the people deceived by the false prophets is found in the Catholics. According to the Bible, the people deceived by the false prophets received the mark on their forehead. This is true to Catholics because they received the mark of the cross on their forehead during the baptism, confirmation, anointing of the sick, and every year during the Ash Wednesday. (see the article, “The Followers of the False Prophets”)

And on the recent article, we learned that the description of the Second Beast mentioned in Revelation 13:11 are all found in the Catholic Pope. The Second Beast is said to have two horns which means power or authority, looks like the lamb, and speaks like the dragon. These descriptions are true to the Catholic Pope because he has two power or authority as head of the state and head of the church; he also looks like the lamb or Christ because he is wearing the clothing of Christ and the position of the Pope to the Catholic Church is similar to the position of Christ to the Church of Christ; and then he also speaks like the dragon or devil or demon because he teaches the teachings of demon that the Catholics and Priests upheld. (see the article, “The Second Beast, The False Prophet”)

The Time the False Prophets started to Exist

Now, that we already identified who are the false prophets that are said to be wearing the clothing of Christ but inwardly are ravenous wolves, and they are the Catholic Priests including the Pope, then we already know that they already existed not just these recent centuries but for a long time already. What is the particular time that these false prophets started to exist?

In book of Acts of the Apostles, this is what has been written:

29 “For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. (Acts 20:29, NKJV)

Apostle Paul said that after his departure savage wolves will come in to the flock. But what does Apostle Paul mean when he mentioned “his departure”? To understand this, let us consider these verses:

25 “And indeed, now I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of god, will see my face no more.

37 Then they all wept freely, and fell on Paul’s neck and kissed him,

38 sorrowing most of all for the words which he spoke, that they would see his face no more. And they accompanied him to the ship. (Acts 20:25, 37-38, NKJV)

When Apostle Paul bid farewell to his brethren in the Church of Christ, the brethren wept and became sorrow. The mentioned departure that Apostle Paul was talking about is a kind of departure that his brethren will see his face no more. In his letter to Timothy, Apostle Paul clarified it:

6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand.

7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. (II Timothy 4:6-8, NKJV)

The said departure is Apostle Paul’s death, because he mentioned the race which had finished already and that he was expecting of the crown of righteousness that the Lord will give him on the day of Salvation.

Since, Apostle Paul revealed that the ravenous wolves will come in to the Church of Christ after his departure, and then the said departure is his own death, therefore, the ravenous wolves will come in to the Church of Christ after the death of Apostle Paul.

Who are the ravenous wolves that Apostle Paul was referring to in Acts 20:29? Apostle Paul was Christ’s Apostle. In other words, the teachings of Apostle Paul were the teachings of Christ. So according to Christ, who are the ravenous wolves? This is what Christ said about the ravenous wolves:

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 “You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? 17 “Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 “Therefore by their fruits you will know them. (Matthew 7:15-20, NKJV)

According to Christ, the ravenous wolves are the false prophets who are wearing the sheep’s clothing. And we already know from our previous studies that the false prophets referred to are the Catholic Priests; therefore, the Catholic Priests started to exist after the death of the Apostles.

So, no wonder why the Catholic Church, the church of the Catholic Priests is already old and it seems that it is the oldest church that exists. Now it is clear that the Catholic Church started to exist just after the death of the Apostles.

The Catholic Church’ existence

Lots of people are deceived by the Catholic Priests and they are made to believe that the Catholic Church is the church built by Christ. The Catholic Priests used the age of the Catholic Church as proof in deceiving the people to believe about the said doctrine. These people are lazy enough to examine the Bible if the Catholic Church is really the church built by Christ.

Why should we examine the Bible to verify the genuineness of the Catholic Church? It is because, the Bible contains the writings of the true members of the first century Church of Christ which talked about the true first century church built by Christ.

Since the Catholic Priests claim that the Catholic Church is the first century church built by Christ, then we should ask this: is the Bible testifying about it? No! If we will examine the Bible, Christ built his own church not the Roman Catholic Church. And we couldn’t read any verse of the Bible that would point us to the Catholic Church as the first century Church of Christ. And the Catholic Church couldn’t give us any proof that it is indeed the church built by Christ. The only thing that the Catholic Church can give us to back up his claim is its age.

But now that we already know why the Catholic Church seems the oldest church that exists today then we can’t be deceived by the Catholic Priests just like what happened to the Catholics.

And it is clear to us that the time when the Catholic Priests (the False Prophets) started to exist seems to be the time the Catholic Church started to exist. That time was just after the death of the Apostles.

The Beast

To let you know, Mr. Morales is a member of the church of Pope or the Catholic Church. After reading the article, “The Followers of the False Prophets,” he emailed me and argued that using the Revelation 13:16 in showing that those who received mark on their forehead are the followers of the false prophets, according to him is out of context.

Well, I understand why he considered that as an out of the context. The people who received the mark on the forehead as stated on the Revelation 13:16 are actually the followers of the second beast mentioned in Revelation 13:11.

So, let us examine who is the beast mentioned in Revelation 13:11, so that we will know if saying that the Catholics are the followers of the false prophets using the Revelation 13:16 is really out of the context.

The verse goes:

11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. (Revelation 13:11, NKJV)

The mentioned beast on that verse has three identifying marks that are given on that verse alone:

1. The beast has two horns
2. The beast is looked like the lamb.
3. The beast speaks like the dragon.

The Beast has two Horns

First you should take note that the clause, “he had two horns like a lamb”, means that the beast is looked like a lamb and he has two horns. It is not that the horns of this beast are looked like the horns of the lamb because it was not written, “he had two horns like of a lamb.”

What does the horns represents to? Horns, actually represents the government or the power or the authority. Since, it was stated that this beast has two horns, in other words, this beast has two powers (government, authority).

Now, since we already had taken up about those people who received the mark on the forehead which are referred to by the Revelation 13:16 and that these people are the Catholics or the members of the church of Pope, then let’s us narrow our focus to the Pope who is the head of the Catholic Church.

So our question is: Is it true that the Pope is holding two governments or powers? Yes! The Catholic Pope is holding two powers (government, authority): (1) The pope is the head of estate, the Vatican City; (2) The Pope is the head of the church, the Catholic Church.

So, the first identifying mark of the beast given by the verse 11 is true to the Pope.

The beast looks like a lamb.

Actually, we already had studied about those who wear the clothing of the lamb in my article, “the False Prophets”. They are the people who look like the lamb.

First our question is: Who is the lamb? Well, if we will read the Revelation 14, we’ll find out that the lamb is Christ.

Since this beast is looked like the lamb, in other words, this beast will imitate Christ’s appearance, similar to what the false prophets (many false prophets) are doing (see my article, “The False Prophets”). These false prophets are wearing the clothing of Christ.

Now our next question is: Is the Pope wearing the clothing of Christ? And our answer is a big YES. Remember that what the Catholic Priests are wearing is also what the Pope is wearing. The only thing is there are additional garments that the Pope wears.

But we can’t mention only the clothing of Christ that the Pope too is wearing as his way of imitating Christ, because Christ and the Pope also have two similar positions at their respective churches:

1. Christ is the head of his own church, the Church of Christ. The Pope is the head of the Roman Catholic Church, his own church.
2. Christ is the foundation of the Church of Christ, his own church. The Pope is the foundation of his own church, the Roman Catholic Church.

Therefore, it is true that the Pope looks like the lamb. And this is the second identifying mark of the beast.

The beast speaks like the Dragon

It is said that this beast speaks like the dragon. But who is the Dragon according to the Bible? John of the Revelation wrote this:

9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Revelation 12:9, NKJV)

The answer is clear, that the dragon is the Devil (Demon). Now, since it is said that this beast speaks like the dragon, in other words, this beast speaks like the devil. What does it mean when the Bible say that the beast speaks like the devil or demon? It means that the beast will teach his followers the teachings of demon or devil.

But what are the teachings of the devil according to the Bible? Apostle Paul answered:

1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, 3 forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. (I Timothy 4:1-3, NKJV)

The teachings of the devil or demon are: (1) Forbidding to marry; (2) Abstaining from eating food or meat.

And our question is: Is the Pope teaching these two teachings of the demon or devil? Our answer is Yes! Please read my previous article, “The False Prophets” for you to know if the Pope really teaches his followers in the Catholic Church of the teachings of demons which are (1) Forbidding to marry, (2) Abstaining from eating food or meat.

And again, the third identifying mark of the beast is found in the Pope.

Therefore, The Beast, the False Prophet is the Pope

The three identifying marks of the second beast are all found in the Pope. These identifying marks are:

1. It has two horns.
2. It looks like the lamb.
3. It speaks like the dragon.

Actually, if we will continue reading from verse 12 to 15, we’ll find more identifying marks of the second beast. However, from the verse 11 alone, we already found the three identifying marks of the beast in the Pope. And in verse 16, it was written:

And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, (Revelation 13:16, NKJV)

It is said that this beast (the Pope) causes all to receive the mark on their right hand or on their foreheads. And this is what really happened, happens and will be happening. See my article, “The Followers of the False Prophets” for more info.

So, three truths are revealed to us:

1. The beast mentioned in Revelation 13:11 is the Pope.
2. The followers of the Pope, the Catholics, are the people who receive the marks on their forehead.
3. The false prophets mentioned in Matthew 7:15-20 are the Catholic Priests, including the Pope.

One of the visitors of this blog who read the said article, asked me how sure I am that the false prophets referred to by Christ are the Catholic Priests when in fact the name “Catholic Priests” are not written on the quoted verses of the Bible.

Well, what Christ gave in order for us to identify who are those false prophets are not their names but their descriptions. Actually, we are still in the process of identifying them. We already found out who have the two identifying marks that Christ gave. As we mentioned already above, these two identifying marks are: (1) wearing the sheep’s clothing; (2) the bad trees that bear bad fruits. These are all found in the Catholic Priests. For more info, please visit the published article, “The False Prophets”.

Now, in order to make sure that the Catholic Priests are really the ones who are referred to by Christ as the false prophets, then let us find any identifying marks of the followers of the False Prophets. We are sure that there are identifying marks mentioned by the Bible that will help us identify the followers of the false prophets. Once the identifying marks of the followers of the false prophets are found in the Catholics or members of the Church of Pope, then this time, we can say that Catholic Priests including their Pope are the real false prophets who are referred to by truth written on the Bible.

Now, let us ask the Bible: How could we identify those who are deceived by the false prophets (who wear the sheep’s clothing and bear bad fruits) and became the followers of these false prophets? In Revelation 13:16, this is what we can read:

And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, (Revelation 13:16, NKJV)

According to that verse, these people will be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead.

From our previous article our focus was on the Catholic Priests because they have the identifying marks given by Christ for us to notice and identify the false prophets. So, we need to fix our focus on the Catholics too (or members of the Church of Pope) since they are the followers of the Pope or the Catholic Priests.

Is it true that the Catholics are given marks on their right hand or on their forehead? The answer is found in the book of the Catholic Priest Enrique Demond, “Ang Aral na Katoliko,” in page 11:

Ang tanda ng Santa Krus ay siyang tanda ng taong Katoliko, sapagka’t siyang ikinatatangi at ikinaiiba ng taong Katoliko sa taong Protestante.

(My rough English Translation) The sign (mark) of the Holy Cross is the sign (mark) of the Catholic, because it isolates and differs the Catholics to the Protestants.

According to the Catholic Priest Enrique Demond, the Catholics really have the sign (mark) of the cross. It is the sign (mark) of being Catholics.

But it was not stated on that snippet that the sign or mark of the cross is really the sign or mark on the right hand or on the forehead? The same priest answers that question on the same book and the same page which goes:

Ang pagaantanda ang paggawa ng tatlong Krus nang hinlalaki ng kanang kamay; ang una’y sa noo …

(My rough English Translation) The signing of the cross is done by making three crosses by the thumb of the right hand; first is on the forehead …

Are the Catholics given the marks on the right hand or on the forehead? Yes! The sign of the cross is really the mark on the forehead. And if you are observant you’ll notice that the Catholics are given a mark of a cross on their foreheads using the thumb of the right hand of the Priest during baptism. Catholics will be again given by this mark during the Confirmation. And not only that, the Catholics will be given a mark of the cross on their foreheads every year during the Ash Wednesday. And if you already had witnessed how the Priests perform the Anointing of the Sick, you’ll still notice the sickly and dying Catholics will be again given a mark on their forehead using the thumb of the right hand of the Priests.

It is really sad to know that the Catholic Priests have the identifying marks of the false prophets, and the Catholics have the identifying mark of the people who are deceived and became the followers of the false prophets. This is actually one of the reasons why I decided to leave my former religion (Roman Church). The identifying marks of the false prophets found in the Catholic Priests and the identifying mark of the people who are deceived by the false prophets found in the Catholics are not just coincidence but really are the fulfillment of God’s words recorded in the Bible.

Since Mr. Morales was attacking other religion by using the Matthew 7:15-20, so in this article, we’ll be dealing with the question: Who are the false prophets referred to by Christ in Matthew 7:15-20 which says:

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 “You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 “Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 “Therefore by their fruits you will know them. (Matthew 7:15-20, NKJV)

You’ll notice on that verses that Christ gave his disciples the identifying marks of the false prophets. These identifying marks are:

1. The false prophets wear the sheep’s clothing.
2. The false prophets are likened to the bad trees that bear bad fruits.

Sheep’s Clothing

Obviously, the literal sheep (the animal one) wears no clothing. But Christ in that verse mentioned a sheep that wears clothes and this clothing of the sheep is the one used by these false prophets. So, who is the sheep that wears clothes? In John 1:29, this is what we can read:

29 The next day, John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (NKJV)

According to John (the voice in the wilderness) Jesus (Christ) is a lamb. If Christ was wearing clothes, and then he’s a sheep (lamb), therefore, the sheep that wear clothing is Christ. Now, since the false prophets wear the sheep’s clothing, and then the sheep that wears clothing is Christ, therefore, the false prophets are wearing the clothing of Christ.

Do you have ideas who are those people who wear the clothing of Christ? Well, I don’t have idea yet but not after reading the book of a Catholic Priest Enrique Demond, “Ang Aral na Katoliko”. In that book we’ll find this answer:

Ang pananamit ng paring nagmimisa. Ang paring gayak sa pagmimisa ay nakakatulad ni Jesucristo… (p195)

The clothing of the priest who say (perform) the mass. The priest who is ready to say the mass looks like Christ (My rough English translation)

In other words, Catholic Priest Enrique Demond admitted that the priests are the ones who wear the clothing of Christ. This confession of the priest Enrique Demond was supported by the answer of Mr. Javier in his book, “Saradong Katoliko Romano Kami”:

S. Nakikilala ng mga tunay na Kristiano ang mga alagad ng Diyos, na sila’y mga lalaki: at ang mga damit na mahaba ay uniforme bilang ipinakikilala nga na sila’y mga Apostol, na hindi nila inaalis ang damit na mahaba na isinuot ng ating Panginoon sa kapanahunan Niya. (p55,56)

Answer: The true Christians know who are the servants of God; they are men; their long clothing is their uniform that tells us that they’re apostles; that they always wear the clothing of Christ that he was wearing during his time. (My rough English Translation)

Mr. Javier said that the long clothing (gown) that priests’ wear is the clothing that Christ was wearing during his time. And just like we learn above, the sheep the wears clothing is Christ. It is therefore clear that the Catholic Priests are really the ones who are wearing the clothing of the sheep.

Does it mean that the Catholic Priests are the false prophets referred to by Christ in Matthew 16:18?

Well, we’ll not conclude yet. We need to find out who are those people who match the description as bad trees that bear bad fruits. These people should be wearing the clothing of Christ too.

The Bad Tree

The second identifying mark of the false prophets is that they’re likened to the bad trees that bear bad fruit. What does it mean when Christ said that the false prophets are bad trees that bear bad fruits?

In Matthew 12:33-35, this is what Christ said:

33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. 34 Brood of Vipers! How can you, being evil, speaks good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. (NKJV)

Christ compared the good man that speaks good things to the good tree that bears good fruits and the evil man that speaks evil things to the bad tree that bears bad fruits.

Since the false prophets are likened to the bad trees that bear bad fruits, and then the evil man that speaks evil things is likened to bad tree that bears bad fruits, therefore, the false prophets will be teaching evil things.

Then, what are these evil things that the false prophets are teaching? In Apostle Paul’s letter to Timothy, we can find this truth:

According to Apostle Paul, there are those who teach the doctrines of demons. Since these doctrines are of demons, then we are sure that these doctrines are evil doctrines because there is no demon that teaches good thing. And what are these doctrines? These doctrines are: (1) forbidding to marry; (2) commanding to abstain from eating some food (meat).

Now, since on the first part of this article we found out that the Catholic Priests are the ones who wear the clothing of the sheep (Christ), are they they also teaching or upholding the doctrines of demon?

We will not answer that question by our own. Let us find the answer from the books written by the Catholic Priests (themselves).

The book “Ang Pananampalataya ng ating mga Ninuno” by Mr. Rufino Alejandro is the Filipino translation of the book “The Faith of Our Fathers” by Catholic Cardinal Gibbons. And we can find this:

Ang disiplina ng Iglesia (Katolika) ay ipinatupad buhat pa sa pasimula, sa pamamagitan ng pagbabawal sa mga saserdote na mag-asawa pagkatapos na sila’y maordenan (Ang Pananampalataya ng ating mga Ninuno, p396)

The discipline of the church (Catholic) has imposed since the beginning by forbidding the priests to marry after they’re ordained. (My rough English translation)

Since the author of the original book that was written in English was the Catholic Cardinal Gibbons, then Cardinal Gibbons admitted that the priests are upholding the first teaching of the demons which is “forbidding to marry”, because according to the book, the priests are prohibited to marry after they’re ordained.

Now, let’s find out if the Catholic Priests, who wear the clothing of the sheep (Christ) and who uphold the first teaching of the demon which is “forbidding to marry”, are also upholding the second teaching of demons which is “commanding to abstain from eating some food (meat)”.

Do the Catholic Priests uphold the teaching of demon to abstain from eating some food (meat)?

We will not answer that question again by our selves. The Catholic Priest, Enrique Demond, will answer this question. This is what his answer:

Sa ikalawang utos ay ipinaguutos ng Santa Iglesia (Katolika) sa atin na magayuno at huwag kumain ng anomang lamangkati o karne sa mga araw na ipinagbabawal niya. (Ang Aral na Katoliko, p139)

The second commandments of the Holy Church (Catholic) is to abstain from eating meat during the forbidden days. (My rough English Translation)

According to the Catholic Priest, Enrique Demond, the Catholic Church is teaching to abstain from eating meat. But the Catholic Priests are the one who teach and impose this teaching to the members of the Catholic Church. Therefore, the Catholic Priests are also upholding the second teaching of demons which is “commanding to abstain from eating some food (meat)”.

The Real False Prophets

From the study we made, we learned that the Catholic Priests are the ones who wear the sheep’s clothing and the bad trees that bear bad fruits. These things are identifying marks given by Christ to his disciples in order for them to identify the false prophets.

But my question is: Is Mr. Morales one of them? Well, he’s the one who can answer this.

Note: This article is my answer to Mr. Morales’ recent email sent to me. He’s using Matthew 7:15-20 attacking the church where I’m in now even if Mr. Morales has no solid proof to back up his attacks.

Mr. Morales failed to realize that the teachings of the Apostle Paul are the teachings of Christ, because it’s Christ himself who called Saul (Paul) to become one of the apostles.

1Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest 2and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem. 3As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. 4He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”
5″Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked.
“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. 6″Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” (Acts 9:1-6, NIV)

Mr. Morales chooses to believe his own interpretation of Matthew 16:18 even if it contradicted the teaching of the Apostle Paul. For Mr. Morales, the rock foundation of the church of Christ mentioned in Matthew 16:18 is Peter, but Apostle Paul clearly taught that there is no other foundation other than Christ as stated in I Corinthians 3:11.

Head of the Church

Whom should we believe, Mr. Morales’ own interpretation of the Matthew 16:18, or the teachings of the Apostle Paul about the rock foundation?

Well, as member of the church of Christ, I should believe the teachings of the Apostle Paul because Apostle Paul is part of the church of Christ.

27Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 28And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues. (I Corinthians 12:27-28, NIV)

The church where Apostle Paul had been appointed is the body of Christ and Christ is the head of it.

18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. (Colossians 1:18, NIV)

Now, since Christ is the head of the church, and then Apostle Paul is part of the church of which Christ is the head, therefore, Apostle Paul’s teachings are the teachings of Christ. There’s no doubt in Apostle Paul’s teachings that’s the reason why Apostle Peter defended the writings of the Apostle Paul and warned the members of the church of Christ about the ignorant and unstable people who distorted the writings of the Apostle Paul, even to the other scriptures.

16He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction. (II Peter 3:16, NIV)

Now, why is it that Mr. Morales’ belief about the rock foundation of the church is different to the teachings of the Apostle Paul? Well, if you’ll reflect on the position of Christ to his own church, wherein Christ is the head and the church is Christ’s body, you’ll realize that what the church of Christ upheld is the things taught by the head who is Christ. Remember that the body always follows the will of the head.

Apostle Paul upheld the teaching that there is no other foundation of the church other than Christ. Apostle Paul is part of the church of Christ or the body of Christ. In other words, the teaching that there is no other foundation of the church other than Christ is the teaching of Christ who is the head of the church.

Since Mr. Morales’ belief about the foundation of the church is too different to the teaching that there is no other foundation of the church other than Christ, then it is clear that Mr. Morales’ is not part of the body of Christ.

And we are sure about it because he is part of the body of which its head is not Christ but the Pope.

Teachings of Demons

Another proof that Mr. Morales is not really part of the body of Christ is the teachings that he is upholding. These teachings are: (1) forbidding to marry; (2) abstaining from eating meat.

What is the truth about these teachings? Apostle Paul clearly taught that these teachings are the teachings of demons:

1The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. (I Timothy 4:1-3, NIV)

Now, if Mr. Morales is really part of the body of Christ then why is he upholding the teachings that are not of Christ but of the enemy of Christ, the demons?

Come Out from her and Enter Christ

Is there anything that Mr. Morales can do so that he can reject the teachings of demons? Well, of course there is and this is what is written:

4Then I heard another voice from heaven say:
“Come out of her, my people,
so that you will not share in her sins,
so that you will not receive any of her plagues; (Revelation 18, 4, NIV)

Mr. Morales should come out from the church of the Pope that upheld the teachings of demons. Then what should he do next? Christ said:

9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. (John 10:9, NIV)

Christ told everyone who wants to be saved to enter himself. And those who enter Christ really became part of the body of Christ, and therefore, they are now following the teachings of Christ.

Although he’s not calling anymore other people idiot, but then he again tried to call the Apostle Paul liar by telling me not to believe Apostle Paul’s teachings about the foundation of the church of Christ just because Apostle Paul didn’t witness the incident when Christ spoke the words in Matthew 16:18.

Do not pick up St. Paul’s letter as he was not present during the proclamation of St. Peter, Mat. 16:18-19. (excerpt from Mr. Morales email dated August 24, 2008)

Apostle Paul’s Authority

Is it really true that what Apostle Paul wrote on his letters were not reliable just because he became member of the church of Christ after Christ ascended to heaven and that he didn’t witness the incident when Christ has spoken the words recorded in Matthew 16:18?

The answer is written by Apostle Paul himself in I Corinthians 2:12:

12We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. (I Corinthians 2:12-13, NIV)

According to Apostle Paul, what he was teaching is the words taught by the Spirit, or it is based on the wisdom from God, and not based on the human wisdom.

While Mr. Morales discredit Apostle Paul, Apostle Peter on the other hand respected, honored and defended the teachings of Apostle Paul by telling the members of the church of Christ that there were people who distorted the teachings of Apostle Paul. Apostle Peter called those people ignorant and unstable:

16He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction. (II Peter 3:16, NIV)

It seems that Mr. Morales is one of those people whom Apostle Peter talked about. So, let’s not wonder if he’s thinking that Apostle Paul’s teaching is not that reliable, because in the first place, he’s not aware that the teaching of Apostle Paul about the rock foundation (Romans 9:32-33) is in harmony to the teachings of Christ (Matthew 21:42) and of the Apostle Peter (I Peter 2:4-8).

Proof that Peter couldn’t be the foundation

I already presented on my old posts that Peter is not the rock of which the church of Christ would be built as it was written in Matthew 16:18. He objected on this truth and insisted that Peter is the rock foundation of the church even if his claim contradicted the teachings of the Apostle Paul about the rock foundation of the church of Christ

So now, he challenged me to quote a verse that tells us that Christ did not lay Peter as the foundation of the church of Christ.

Well, I already presented lots of verses that proved that Peter had not been laid as the foundation of the church of Christ. Since Mr. Morales couldn’t get those verses, so we’ll let him compile the verses included on this article.

Here’re the facts why Apostle Peter was not really laid as the foundation of the church of Christ.

(1) There is no other foundation other than Christ.

Apostle Paul, taught that no one can lay any foundation other than Christ who was laid already.

11For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. (I Corinthians 11:3, NIV)

I wonder if Mr. Morales understand this verse, when in fact it is clear and simple to understand.

Now, if there can be no other foundation except Christ, then it is clear that Peter could not be the foundation of the church of Christ because he was not Christ.

And Mr. Morales couldn’t lay any other foundation because it was said that there will be no foundation other than Christ.

(2) Apostles are placed inside the church of Christ not with in the Foundation

Apostle Paul taught that inside the church of Christ, God appointed the apostles.

28And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues. (I Corinthians 12:28, NIV, emphasis mine)

We should take note that the apostles are inside the church of Christ not outside the church. And then the church of Christ is likened to a building or house.

19Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household, (Ephesians 2:19, NIV)

Now, if the apostles are parts of and inside the church of Christ, then they are components of the building. But we should not forget that the building and the foundations are two different things. Since the apostles are component or parts of the building, in other words they are not the foundation.

That’s why in Ephesians 2:20, Apostle Paul clarified that the house is built on Christ who is also the foundation of the apostles and prophets.

3. Christ is the cornerstone or foundation, members of the church are stones built into a house or building.

Apostle Peter’s own teachings specified two kinds of stones. The first stone is Christ which served as the cornerstone or foundation. The second kind of stones is the members of the church of Christ. These stones are built into a house or building.

4As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him— 5you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6For in Scripture it says:
“See, I lay a stone in Zion,
a chosen and precious cornerstone,
and the one who trusts in him
will never be put to shame.”7Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe,
“The stone the builders rejected
has become the capstone,” 8and,
“A stone that causes men to stumble
and a rock that makes them fall.” They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for. (I Peter 2:4-8, NIV)

It is clear from this teaching of Apostle Peter that there are only two kinds of stones: First is a stone used as foundation; Second is the stones used to build up the house. Since Peter was appointed inside the church of Christ, then he’s one of the stones built into a house. The foundation of it is Christ.

But Mr. Morales couldn’t accept this truth because he wanted to pull out Apostle Peter from the church of Christ and replace Christ on his position as the foundation of the church.

And we all know that a house built in a wrong foundation will end up into a mess:

49But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.” (Luke 6:49, NIV)

There’s no wonder why until now, Mr. Morales is upholding the teachings of demons:

1The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. (I Timothy 4:1, NIV)

These teachings of demons are (1) forbidding to marry; (2) abstaining from eating meat:

2Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. (I Timothy 4:2-3, NIV)

And we are not wondering if Mr. Morales is worshipping and serving the created ones, instead of the creator:

20For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised.
