Chupacabra literally means “goat sucker”. It’s a cayote like hairless animal that attacks goat, sheep, turkey, and other livestock and then it sucks the blood of the victims until the blood drains. Animals that became victims of the Chupacabra has 2 or 3 puncture wounds on the chest.

Just recently, Lynn Butler a former student of the Blanco Taxidermy School captured a dead cayote-like animal in the barn of his cousin. It was his first time to see it or even touch it that many considered as chupacabra. So, Butler brought the animal to the Blanco Taxidermy School to be stuffed later.

Here’s the photo of the chupacabra:

Actually, chupacabra got famous when it allegedly attacked livestocks in Puerto Rico starting March 1995. Lots of animals had been killed by believed to be a vampire. Then the attacks spreaded to neighboring countries such as Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Peru, Brazil, United States, Argentina, Panama, and Mexico.

The killings at first made the people to wonder what kind of animal responsible for the incident until a hairless dog-like animal that attacked livestocks had been killed by a rancher in Texas. Then similar animals were sighted in different countries even in the Capiz, Philippines.

Here’s another video that talks about the chupacabra:

Question: How can I get the SSS static information in the internet?

Answer:

Getting SSS static information is already made available by the SSS through the internet not by their offices. If you’ll ask this at their office, they’ll tell you to get it through the SSS Online Inquiry system.

To learn how, please read first the FAQs or frequently asked questions regarding the SSS Online Inquiry. Click here.

My two blogs, “SELaplana” and “Naruto Shippuuden Fan“, are included on the list of the top Philippine Blogs tracked by the Ratified.Org.

I accidentally visited Pinoy Blogero’s announcement of the Ratified’s Top Philippine Blogs when I was searching for the information about the Fertilizer Fund Scam that would help me compose article that would answer a query sent to me by a subscriber of my “SELaplana” blog. And according to the list, My “SELaplana” blog is ranked 2nd and my “Naruto Shippuuden Fan” blog is ranked 21st among the Ratified’s Top 50 Blogs.

I also found out that the Ratified.Org management wrote letters to the owners of the blogs listed on the Top 50 through email “asking them to share the story behind their growth, and be featured” on the Ratified.Org Blog. However, as the blogger behind the two blogs listed on the Top 50, I haven’t received any letters from them. I don’t know if my email account really received those emails and I just missed them because I am actually receiving hundreds of emails everyday. I even wonder if I really read those emails but just forgot to answer them, and that I even forgot that I actually read them.

Anyway, almost all bloggers featured at the Ratified.Org whose blogs are included on the Ratified’s Top Blogs were asked the same questions:

What have you done this year for your blog that contributed to its growth?

What marketing strategy works best for your blog?

How much % of your annual income do you attribute to your blog as the source?

What tips can you give to bloggers who would like to achieve blog growth?

And here’s my answer:

Question: What have you done this year for your blog that contributed to its growth?
Answer: Actually, there’s no new thing that I did that contributed to the growth of my two blogs, “SELaplana” and “Naruto Shippuuden Fan” because I was already doing those things since 2005. I regularly posted new articles into my blogs although most of these posts do not show on the front page of the blogs. What I mean is, there are new posts that are shown on the front page of the blog, but most of the new posts are not shown on the front page, not even sent to the subscribers. I also regularly check the traffic statistics of the blogs and study how the visitors discovered my blogs and then think of ways that more visitors will discover the blogs.

Question: What marketing strategy works best for your blog?
Answer: I started what Jehzlau did on his blog, telling my friends to visit my blogs and subscribe from them. But, I found out that SEO or SEO experiment is more effective especially that I want to earn more from my blogs through ads displayed at them. And based on the data collected by the Google Analytics for the current year (2008): 99% of the visitors of the SELaplana blog are coming from Search Result Pages of the Search Engines and 1% of it are the combination of the repeat visitors and visitors coming from other websites and blogs. And regarding to the visitors of the Naruto Shippuuden Fan blog, 82% of the visitors are coming from Search Result Pages of search engines and the rest are repeat visitors and those coming from other websites and blogs.

Question: How much % of your annual income do you attribute to your blog as the source?
Answer: Well, I am a full-time blogger. This whole year, 2008, I don’t have other sources of income but my blogs alone. So, 100% of my income are income of my blogs. However, only 40% of my income is earned by my SELaplana blog, and more or less 15% of my income is earned by the Naruto Shippuuden Fan blog.

Question: What tips can you give to bloggers who would like to achieve blog growth?
Answer: (1) Blog on the topic that you are interested with and regularly write new articles for your blog. (2) Read….Read… Read… and Read…. Don’t stop reading books, ebooks, articles, blogs, news, etc… (3) Learn SEO and apply what you’ve learned into your daily blogging activities. (3) But don’t blog just because you want to earn money, it will only end up to nothing. Just blog for your passion, and you’ll end up earning money through your blogs.

So, congratulation to me !!!

P.S.

By the way, the data collected and shown on the Ratified pages of my two blogs, SELaplana at Ratified and Naruto Shippuuden Fan at Ratified, for the Feedburner Subscribers is not already accurate. The blog’s feed address was changed already from Feedburner.Com to Feedburner.Google.Com. And the FeedBurner Subscriber’s data collected by the Ratified is still coming from the old Feedburner.Com feed. I already emailed the TSupport of the Ratified.Org about it, but there’s still no update made.

P.S..

Based on the manga Itazura na Kiss, It Started With a Kiss was one of the most popular dramas of 2006. Starring top television idols Ariel Lin (Tokyo Juliet), Joe Cheng (Summer x Summer), and Jiro Wang (X-Family), the colorful romantic comedy followed the laughter-laden love story of bumbling high school girl Xiang Qin and aloof prodigy Zhi Shu, amidst chaotic family drama. Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu’s crazy family is back for a second go, as well as an extended cast that includes pop stars Aaron Yan, Danson Tang, and Lollipop’s Prince, plus drama regulars like Tiffany Hsu (Ariel Lin’s love rival in the first series), Joelle Lu (The Outsiders), Aisa (Meteor Rain), and Cai Yi Zhen (Summer x Summer).

It Started with a Kiss ended with odd couple Zhi Shu (Joe Cheng) and Xiang Qin (Ariel Lin) getting married in characteristically comical fashion, and the sequel picks up the story right away with their honeymoon and married life. Xiang Qin is as ham-fisted as ever, creating many funny situations as she learns the ropes of being a wife and nurse. Aspiring doctor Zhi Shu also meets some obstacles at school when he encounters both academic and romantic rivals who are determined to dethrone him. The pressure of balancing marriage, work, and school often leads to mistakes and misunderstandings, and Zhi Shu and Xiang Qin soon learn that marrying young isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Yes, weddings can be expensive, but is it really worth giving up your firstborn child so you can have tulips in September? When your wedding day arrives, you want to be able to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime event and know that the ceremony and reception are not going to put you in hock for the next 10 years. In How to Have an Elegant Wedding for $5,000 or Less, authors Jan Wilson and Beth Wilson Hickman teach you how to budget and balance so you can have the wedding of your dreams without the headache of enormous bills.

Whether you choose to have a big or small, formal or informal wedding, the reception seems to clock in at approximately half of your budget. So, going with that figure, you need to evaluate and prioritize wedding clothes, flowers, the photographer, the cake, music, invitations, and the ceremony itself. Can you wear your mother’s wedding dress (with some alterations, of course)? Can you cut invitation costs by using black ink rather than a fancy foil? When you booked the band, did you read the fine print? (One bride found, the day before the wedding, that they had to provide a soundman and soundboard. Yikes!) “Weddings, like life itself,” say the authors, “are rarely predictable.” They suggest appointing one or two (two is better) close friends or family members (but not attendants) as coordinators. It will give the couple a trusted helper/point person during the planning process and take some stress off the day of the event.

How to Have an Elegant Wedding for $5,000 or Less encourages you to dream of your ideal day and then helps you to practically and economically make it happen. “Decide what is really important on your special day and make that a priority,” say the authors. “Know what is right for the two of you. Your wedding day should reflect that.” –Dana Van Nest
