Abbott Recalls Blood Sugar Testing Strips
Last week, I used an Abbott blood sugar testing strip in measuring my blood’s sugar level. And the testing device got a 110 result.
Now, I was wondering if that was an accurate result, because it was reported Wednesday that Abbott is recalling millions of blood sugar level testing strips. The problem is that the recalled strips caused an inaccurate low measurement of blood sugar. If the strip that I used is one of those faulty strips then that means that my blood sugar level is not just 110 but more than that.
Having a faulty testing strip is really dangerous. It might led you to raise your sugar level once you learn from the measuring device that the your blood sugar level is low. In other way, it also led someone not to suspect of having high level of sugar in his blood.
