Google Acquired BumpTop
In relation to the report that Google is currently working for an Android Tablet that will directly compete with Apple iPad, Google has purchased the company that enables the 3D multitouch desktop for Windows and Mac.
The amount is not disclosed but the deal was announced by BumpTop on its website and confirmed by Google.
It was noted that BumpTop technology appealed Google. It uses the “pile creation techniques” of which you can shuffle or file documents like what you would do to the cards.
With this acquisition, BumpTop announced that its service that let’s users download the BumpTop software that make a desktop looks 3D, will be closed.
