Queen Elizabeth II Celebrates her 60th Year as British Monarch

Queen Elizabeth II started her reign on February 6, 1952 after the death of her father, King George VI, thus the queen marks and celebrates her Diamond Jubilee on Monday. The 85 year old Queen in her message to the nation thanked all the people for the support and encouragement she and her husband, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh , received.
