Islamic Republic of Iran is Dying?

I was reading news related to the Presidential Election in Iran from the start of the campaign until now. I wanted to write a blogpost about it to share my ideas about the election but I decided not to write about it.

Now, while reading the article of Setrak, “The Islamic Republic Will Lose The War Against Iran“, the picture of the EDSA 3 came into my mind wherein lots of people who attended and joined the rally were killed, injured, and jailed.

I of course do not know what the actual vote totals were.  What I do know is that Ahmadinejad had strong support in the rural areas.  I also know that had they not so blatantly cheated, and so obviously over-reached, that they could have probably gotten away with this theft.   But everyone seems to know that those results were cooked.  Because of how proportional they were or were not?  Because of how quickly the votes came in?  Because of how the results completely contradicted all polling in ways that made the polls for New Hampshire’s 2008 primary look fantastic?  Yes, yes, and yes.  Because of how the government conducted itself before, during, and after the election?  Yes, yes, and yes.

I thought, election in a theocracy nation like Iran is clean compared to the election in a democratic nation like Philippines. But what happened to Iran now simply told me that, election in an Islamic nation is no different than a democratic nation like Philippines.
