Taiwan’s favorite small screen couple, Joe Cheng and Ariel Lin of It Started With a Kiss fame pair up again in the CTV romantic comedy Love or Bread. Directed by idol drama hitmaker Lin He Long (Hot Shot, Why Why Love), Love or Bread revolves around two poor young people, and their bumbling romantic and money-making adventures as they start a new unlikely life together. This cute and hilarious love story also co-stars Golden Horse Best Newcomer winner Bryant Chang, who returns to television for his first drama since breaking through on the big screen with Eternal Summer and Summer’s Tail, plus actress Angus Chang (Toast Boy’s Kiss) and newcomer Huang Wen Xing from Super Idol singing contest.

Frank (Joe Cheng) may look and act like a young and rich prince, but in reality he’s just an average Joe putting up an affluent front. Worse, he’s an average Joe who’s lazy, irresponsible, and swimming in debt. Also in need of money, get-going gal Shan Mei (Ariel Lin) is working hard to support her family and bring the bread home. What happens when these two equally poor young people with completely different values and lifestyles end up sharing the same rundown house?
