A Filipino nurse, Lisa Rodrigues, working in a hospital in Huntingdon, was sentenced for 51 weeks imprisonment suspended for 2 years, ordered 240 hours unpaid work, her driver license was suspended for 4 years.

It was April 30 last year when her Toyota Yaris colided with the red Rover that caused the death of the wife of John Ward, the driver of the red Rover.

According to the Lisa herself, she turned her car onto the path of the coming Rover as she made her way to the restaurant to have lunch. She told the court that she saw the coming rover but her attention was on the restaurant and not on the road.

If not because of the remorse that the court have seen in her and the positive testimonies from her employers, Lisa Rodrigues should be facing 15 months imprisonment.
