I know that you already know that texting or text messaging while driving is bad because we are prohibited to drive while texting. However, only few of us learned that texting while walking can be dangerous to us too.

Alexa Longueira, a 15-year old sophomore student fell into a manhole in into the sewer just because she was texting while walking the sidewalk of a boulevard in Staten Island, New York.

Alexa blamed the workers for keeping the manhole open without warning, however, if she only focused her attention to the place where she’s walking, I think, she would notice the manhole and avoided the tragedy.
