Willie Revillame’s Bastos?
Those who witnessed what Willie Revillame said against the update on Cory Aquino’s cortege last Monday during his show, the Wowowee, were embarrassed.
On Monday, Willie Revillame ordered the removal of the video of the former president’s cortege which was simultaneously shown with the Wowowee.
The Aquino family according to the family’s spokesperson considered it as “… regrettable and a crass attempt to desecrate the memory of the beloved Tita Cory.”
However, in my part, there’s no pambabastos in what he said. It’s of course better to stop the livestreaming of the cortege while the Wowowee show is on because the cortege and the Wowowee are directly oposite in emotion.
I understand what Willie Revillame’s thought. His intention was to show respect to the former president because for him simultaneously shown the Wowowee and the live coverage of the cortege was a show of disrespectful.
For me, it’s not Willie Revillame whom should we blame on this issue but the ABS-CBN management for allowing the Wowowee to be aired while the Filipino people are mourning. The ABS-CBN should suspend temporarily the show while the former president was not yet buried.
However, Willie had made mistakes too. Instead of ordering the removal of the livestreaming, Willie should request to the management to stop showing one of the two: Wowowee or Live coverage of Cory’sEntertainment cortege. If the ABS-CBN wanted to show the live coverage of the cortege then Wowowee should be stopped until Cory Aquino would be buried.

At the very moment that the ASF dancers were performing and the insertion of the live coverage of Pres. Aquino’s wake, Willie could have done the following:
1.) Request the ASF dancers to stop even in the middle of their performance.
2.) Ask the audience to observe a moment of silence.
3.) ABS-CBN management should limit live coverage only to the highlight of the event to a maximum of 15 mins.
4.) Resume the program.
Wowowee will not fall apart for a brief moment of silence out of respect to Pres. Aquino. If anything, they will be commended.
TO WILLIE, KEEP IT UP. WE`RE SO EXCITED COZ YOU WILL BE BACK TO WOWOWIE ALREADY ESP. OUR MOM WHO WATCH YOUR SHOW TWICE A DAY. TO YOUR DETRACTORS- YOU CAN`T PUT HIM DOWN COZ WE LOVE AND SUPPORT HIM ALL THE WAY. PLS. CONTINUE TO HELP OUR UNFORTUNATE KABABAYANS.
For me, what Willie did (stopped the live coverage of Cory’ entertainment cortege) is not Bastos. He told the viewers his point of why. I saw a mistake in their, is in the Wowowie management, they shld. made corrections right away (on the spot) what Willie did.
Yung sa issue also of Sucaldito, bakit hinayaan ng ABS-CBN na titirahin ang the same Kapamilya shows. To think of Wowowie is doing great during that time. Although, Willie medyo he became so vocal in his words.
At sabi nila Willie earned a lot from Wowowie. Of course, he shld. earned big. How would you like working so hard daily (paos na boses mo, & other sickness you got from over worked) at karampot lang ang e-susueldo sa iyo. He made Wowowie on top. so dapat lang bigyan siya nang malaking sahod. Kung si Willie kumita nang malaki, I’m sure ABS-CBN is tripled from what Willie earned.
May mga tao na didn’t understand well the situation, and give bad comments right away to Willie. I’d been wathching Wowowie since the start. Kaya na we-weigh ko ang situation. And I cannot say na ang mali ay nasa kay Willie lahat.
Networks need good stars ( yung mga talented, like Willie, a good host comedian na kaya niyang magpatawa sa show na mag-isa at naaaliw niya ang mga tao).
So, Good Luck to Willie in his new endeavor. I wish him success.
