INC’s Bloc Voting: Criticized but to be copied

Most of the people who are criticizing the blog voting of the Iglesia ni Cristo are Catholics. Now, I wonder what will be their reactions to the plans of the authorities of the Roman Catholic Church here in the Philippines to vote in bloc on the 2010 Presidential Election.

The purpose of resorting to bloc voting by the Roman Church is to support only those candidates who are pro-family and pro-life.

The Catholic Church might resort to bloc voting in next year’s elections to ensure that only candidates who are pro-family and pro-life will be elected into office. (MB)

It seems that the authorities of the Roman Church have realized already the advantage of bloc voting during election. But I don’t know if the Roman Church will be successful to this because, unlike the Iglesia ni Cristo, unity in judgment including bloc voting is not their official doctrine.

Even Mr. Velarde, the leader of the Roman Catholic Charismatic movement here in the Philippines, who is already endorsing candidates to its members failed to move his group to vote in bloc.
