But it was chosen to build the data center in Lulea, Sweden because of its temperature there which will be helpful to cool down the facilities. Besides, the datacenter can easily access the renewal energy source in the area which is the hydro-electric power which is needed to power the 120 MW energy needed by the 28,000 square meter server building and  its facilities. The building is said to be completed by 2014.

The project based on the Lulea officials estimates, the project costs $760 Million.

I tried to observe if any malicious programs are automatically downloaded by my browser and installed into my PC but I haven’t noticed it. So, I guess the hacking operation was not to distribute any malicious programs not like what happened to the www.prc.gov.ph.

Some said that that users of the 4shared.com can access the 4shared-china.com by using the same users’ information. But you need to be careful on this. Who knows if the 4shared-china.com is just a phising website.

On Monday, Willie Revillame ordered the removal of the video of the former president’s cortege which was simultaneously shown with the Wowowee.

The Aquino family according to the family’s spokesperson considered it as “… regrettable and a crass attempt to desecrate the memory of the beloved Tita Cory.”

However, in my part, there’s no pambabastos in what he said. It’s of course better to stop the livestreaming of the cortege while the Wowowee show is on because the cortege and the Wowowee are directly oposite in emotion.

I understand what Willie Revillame’s thought. His intention was to show respect to the former president because for him simultaneously shown the Wowowee and the live coverage of the cortege was a show of disrespectful.

For me, it’s not Willie Revillame whom should we blame on this issue but the ABS-CBN management for allowing the Wowowee to be aired while the Filipino people are mourning. The ABS-CBN should suspend temporarily the show while the former president was not yet buried.

However, Willie had made mistakes too. Instead of ordering the removal of the livestreaming, Willie should request to the management to stop showing one of the two: Wowowee or Live coverage of Cory’sEntertainment cortege. If the ABS-CBN wanted to show the live coverage of the cortege then Wowowee should be stopped until Cory Aquino would be buried.

I am not actually interested of how much is the deal, which according to the report is in per stock basis that will worth a $106.5 million. What I really wonder is that how can Google use this for their own products.

On the press release, Google seems planning to incorporate the video compression of ON2 which is known as VP6 into their web products. Is it for the YouTube or for other and future web products of Google.

“Today video is an essential part of the web experience, and we believe high-quality video compression technology should be a part of the web platform,” said Sundar Pichai, vice president, Product Management, Google. “We are committed to innovation in video quality on the web, and we believe that On2’s team and technology will help us further that goal.”

There is also an speculation that after this acquiring transaction, the license fee for the use of the VP6 will be waived by Google and it will be sent to open source.

There are observers also who think negatively. They said that Google might not be planning to use the VP6 technology and that Google just want to purchase this product and kill it just like what Google did to other technology it bought before.

When the iPhone was first released, I talked to my self, that someday, I’d be getting one, and that would happened before I get married.

However, my son came and my wife and I were married for more than a year already, but until now I am still dreaming to have one. That’s the problem actually of a poor blogger like me.

Today, it was reported that Australia was hit by the shortage of the supply of the iPhone 3GS. It was just launched in Australia last June, but the 5 telecommunication companies there have sold already all the iPhone in their stock.

Apple revealed that they’ll be delivering more iPhones to the telcos of the country but they also admitted that they don’t know when and they couldn’t cope up with the demand of the iPhone 3GS.

By next year, I think, Apple will make another version of the iPhone. I guess, they’ll call it the iPhone 3G-SL. Guess what SL means? Well, I think, it means “Sustines Laplana”.

One of the speculations over the issue is that Google Voice product and similar products like with that of Skype directly compete with the AT&T’s own wireless voice service. And the addition of Google Voice to the iPhone under AT&T will result into the degradation of their own product.

Today, it is reported that the FCC through James Schlichting wrote letter to both the AT&T and Apple, asking the two companies to explain why Apple rejected the Google Voice product for the Apple’s iPhone. Part of the letter says:

Did Apple act alone, or in consultation with AT&T, in deciding to reject the Google Voice application and related applications? If the latter, please describe the communications between Apple and AT&T in connection with the decision to reject Google Voice.

Google also has been requested by the FCC to explain how the Google Voice operate through an iPhone

The deal between Yahoo and Microsoft that was announced last Wednesday, signaled the change in the search engine market.

Prior to the deal, Yahoo had 30 percent of US users, while Bing had only more or less 10 percent and the other part was almost owned by Google. But with this deal, it seems that Yahoo’s market share will fell to zero percent while that of Microsoft’s Bing will jump up to 30%.

What’s with the deal?

Well… According to the report, Microsoft will now power Yahoo’s searches with its new revamped search engine called “Bing”. Then Yahoo’s obligation is to monetize the searches.

Actually, I am currently wondering if it’s a good deal to Yahoo!. For me the better deal was when Microsoft offered Billions of money for the ownership of the entire Yahoo company or part of it.
