I was following the Presidential Election in Iran which resulted to bloody protest. I thought at first that killing someone who participated the protest is just fine in Iran’s Islamic Constitution.
“The Iranian government must understand that the world is watching, … We call on the Iranian government to stop all violent and unjust actions against its own people. The universal rights to assembly and free speech must be respected, and the United States stands with all who seek to exercise those rights.”
I thought, election in a theocracy nation like Iran is clean compared to the election in a democratic nation like Philippines. But what happened to Iran now simply told me that, election in an Islamic nation is no different than a democratic nation like Philippines.
While the events in Iran is ongoing, lots of contents are published in Youtube, blogs, Twitter and other social networking websites in Persian language. So, the introduction of the new capability of the Google Translate to translate contents in Persian language is of great timing.
